Recall causes tempers to simmer in Ward 3
While we are all entitled to our opinions and the right to express them the problem with some is they are so wrapped in a pre determined ideological perspective they must reconstruct the facts by ignoring many of the salient issues to make their views work. In expressing her disgust with concerned citizen Will Winn writers like Tammy Tackett apparently choose to ignore the issues that have fueled the recall effort. Simplistic explanations like it's the unions and a bunch of tree hugging property rights haters tells me she and those who think like her have no idea what the issues are. Those issues have been covered at length in the media including this blog but the most important issue is the people elected a stealth politician who is doing everything he can to advance a poorly conceived development proposal and the economic interests of its supporters. If the Canyons project is carried off as General Holding and their associates would have it the losers will be the taxpayers and those departments charged with public security, safety and infrastructure services. That she doesn't understand this indicates she has given only a superficial look at the issue while giving it the litmus test of her ideology. End of thought, never mind the facts. 0 comments from 0 users
