bakoblue - > Confessions of a Pet Parent -> Adoption day at Petco
Adoption day at Petco

Kern County Animal Control is holding an off-site adoption day at Petco on Rosedale Highway, Saturday, Dec. 6, from  10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Adoption fees are $75, all dogs are already spayed & neutered, have their vaccinations, their tags for a year, and a free visit to see a vet.

The shelter needs donations in the way of dog food, dog beds, blankets, newspapers, shoe boxes, treats, brushes, & grooming aids., or whatever else you think might help ease the cold winter days & nights for the dogs and cats at the shelter.

If you can't make it to the shelter to drop off donations you can drop them off at Petco on Dec 6.  The volunteers will be happy to take your donations to the shelter for you.

It is going to be a cold winter this year, and its going to be even colder for the poor dogs at the shelter, with no home or bed to sleep in this winter. I know times are hard on everyone right now, but it is even harder on the unwanted dogs and cats dropped off at the shelter every day. Every little bit helps.

The shelter is also in need of volunteers,. If you would like more info on being a shelter volunteer please contact Maggie at   kalarm@co.kern.ca.us or stop by Petco where volunteers are on the first Saturday of the month.

Santa will also be there on Dec. 6 taking pictures with your pets.

Bob the dog now has a new home!  I adopted him from the Wasco volunteers today at the PETCO on Gosford Road.  Thanks bako to you and all the volunteers at the shelters.

That is so unbearably adorable! I am very happy that you found him. You'll have to put his photo up when you have a chance.

Congratulations on your new dog! Thanks for adopting. It means the world to Bob.
