FIRE IN THE N.E.
Just passed what must be a house fire near Bernard & Haley. Going East on Bernard, there's a Y intersection at Haley, it's to the right. Hope everyone is ok. Breaking news teams - what have you got? 9 comments from 4 users

Bakonative, Felix is out at the scene of the fire right now and I texted him to call us with an update. All we know is what we've heard on the scanner. At least three buildings and a boat on fire on Crestview near Bernard. Someone was injured and Hall Ambulance was called to the scene. We'll get you more as it comes in.

Thanks Davin, I was stuck in the traffic mess and saw the ambulance also. I hope everyone's ok. Now I see the awful news about the toddler and the pool, and just got more bad news about an acquaintances son who may not make it thru the night. Horrible day. I have been listening on the scanner and breakingnews has it correct. The only thing that I can add is that they were having a problem gaining access due to a lot of combustible materials. There were also 2 dogs chained in the back yard. Don't know what happened to them. I assume they got them as this was early in the incident. I also heard that they have engines from LA on scene. Sounds like a major fire. posted by

JBS - No, just the opposite. Instead of everyone getting up to leave they would end up not working from rolling in the floor laughing at you.
