bakonative - > -> SOLUTION TO BLOG QUESTIONS
SOLUTION TO BLOG QUESTIONS

I have a **brilliant** idea! What TBC needs is an on-line reference/reading room, which is for us bloggers to post questions and have them answered by Steve or the appropriate TBC personnel. Bloggers could only post questions, and ONLY TBC could respond. The subject matter would contain only blog-related questions such as...

What is a blog "violation"

Can I post "looking for a job" blogs? or "help wanted" blogs?

Why does my profile have to be public in order to post? I don't like random people e-mailing me.

How do I .... type in pink, make my text bold, etc.

The answers would not be "erased" unless they were duplicates, otherwise the question and answer remain in the reference room permanently for reference.

C'mon bloggers, what do you think?

Perfect, now I can't figure out how to remove Steve Swenson as the subject!

For the time being, try Dan's Digs blog, which has a number of posts related to the Bakersfield.com blogs.

Jeez, Louise. You're full of questions, aren't you? :) I don't have many answers, but I have some.

In the box where you type your blog entry in, there should be a box above that has a bunch of little squares with options in it. The little square that has a T with colors on it is the one you use to color your text, say, pink! The square next to it is to change your background color -- like this!

Next topic. When you log in find the option that says "My settings" or "Edit settings." From there you will click on the option to the left that says "Blog settings," and that's where you should be able to figure out what you want to change.

I thought there was an option on your profile that allowed you to have it NOT be public.

If you click on Report Violation, it explains what the violations are.

I know of no rules prohibiting job wanted or this is for sale blogs. There should be and there may be later, but apparently not now.

The comment box has all kinds of things you can do to your entry -- the B is bold, I is Italic, U is underline, T-color box lists all sorts of colors which you can do by highlighting the words and then clicking on the color you want.

The box with the blue circle and the chain link will enable you to link another blog or story or anything you have a url for.
You highlight words you want, click on the chain link and then put the url in the space for it in the box that comes up.

If you put your cursor on the boxes above a little yellow box comes up and explains what each does.

Why you would want to eliminate me from your subject line is beyond all comprehension, but what you did is name your blog Steve Swenson. (how sweet). So you have to go to your blog postings and change that to something like hot chick or any other name you are comfortable with.

I know how to do most of the stuff, but many people may not. That's why I suggested a reading room. And Steve, it is really all about YOU!

You know it's true!  But now the pressure is on, because I'm going to visit Dan's (lmolen) website he showed above.
