How ironic is this. A guy obtains evidence and posts it to TBC. Typical, the BPD gets irks. But I think this is a great community effort to identify the suspect. The BPD "detectives" discourge the publication. 

Well, let me tell ya a little story about detectives. Once upon a time my mom met a great man. He became a "dad" to me, my husband, and my daughter. Then he disappeared. Vanished. Gone. But.... he was very ill and recovering from having his gallbladder removed. Got out of the hospital and a week later he disappeared. He was in his car going to a follow up with his doctor. Had emphesema and had to have an oxygen tank at all times. Had no credit cards or bank accounts.. Lived on SSA... and yard sale money.  Now let's talk about detectives. The first one to appear - and who wrote the report, was disturbed because it was a Friday nite and he was inconvienced as he was on call.  He focused on possible drinking and suicide in his report, which was totally ludicrous.... but was in writing. Next, the Sheriff's dept. discouraged any publicity in the missing person case - because - it could harm their investigation and -  it could be someone we knew. The fear that someone we knew could be responsible effected me - and my care of my kids. After about 4-5 days, I called a CHP I had done business with. What a great guy Dave was. He got special permission to cruise around and search the "bad areas". But nothing turned up. I had a year long battle with the DMV, and DOJ. Thanks to the Sheriff's dept., a law was instituted that the DOJ could put a "missing person/car" alert on a vehicle for life. But it took time. In retrospect, I wish I had not kept quiet like the sheriff dept told me,  and went public on TV and the TBC to put an alert out for possible sightings of my dad and his car.

And .....to this day, neither the car, or Barney Valley have been found. I returned his SSA checks, canceled his auto insurance, and called his doctors, the VA hospital, Social Security office and DMV. There has never been any activity since he became missing. I met his daughter he hasn't seen since she was young, talked to his family, all to no avail. He's gone. Disappeared. Bad deal, foul play I suspect. Figure this out Mr Detective!

I have a **brilliant** idea! What TBC needs is an on-line reference/reading room, which is for us bloggers to post questions and have them answered by Steve or the appropriate TBC personnel. Bloggers could only post questions, and ONLY TBC could respond. The subject matter would contain only blog-related questions such as...

What is a blog "violation"

Can I post "looking for a job" blogs? or "help wanted" blogs?

Why does my profile have to be public in order to post? I don't like random people e-mailing me.

How do I .... type in pink, make my text bold, etc.

The answers would not be "erased" unless they were duplicates, otherwise the question and answer remain in the reference room permanently for reference.
