The Bakersfield College Concert Band is starting its Fall semester on Wednesday, August 27. Membership in the band is open to students and community members alike. 

The first meeting is at 6:00 pm on Wednesday the 27th in the BC band room (which is room 2, downstairs in the SAM building). All you need to bring is your instrument, a pencil, and any friends that are also interested in playing.

I play Euphonium in the band. We're a small group and are looking for new members . Anyone out there who has played an instrument and wants to start again, or plays but has nowhere to play, this is for you. It's a fun atmosphere with players of all skill levels.

The band rehearses once a week, on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm, so there's not a huge time commitment. We typically play 2-3 concerts per year, and usually play for BC's graduation ceremony in May each year.

There's even talk of forming a Pep Band for home football games - a great way to spend a Saturday evening.
