Certified Gold, Incense and Myrrh: New name, new songs added to Dr BLT Christmas CD
Stay Tuned: A new music diary by Dr BLT 11/13/07 Hi fans, friends and family members. It's got a new name and I've been working on some new songs for my forthcoming Christmas CD. The new title is: Certified Gold, Incense and Myrrh. The new songs I've been recording are: I'm Decoratin' My Heart (for Christmas) Take Me Back 2 Bethlehem Johnny (Won't You help me With My Christmas CD)? I'm the Star of Bethlehem and It's Incredible. I've got a recording session planned at Bakersfield School of Music and Recording on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 9 am where I'll be joining guitarist and recording engineer Reggie Langendorfer, and, perhaps a few other local musicians to record some brand new material. Also, on the way to perform songs from the forthcoming CD, along with Johnny Cash's favorite carols and favorite hymns from his mother's hymn book, a song for the CD was born. Raindrops falling on my windshield prompted the concept, and the lyrics and melody followed. The song is entitled, Turn the Raindrops to Snowflakes. Stay tuned, literally, for more information.

As far as my understanding goes, the terms have historically been used interchangably. Either way, the person putting out the CD is surely allowed certain creative liberties :) Actually, though I don't know if it will sway me one way or another, what would you, the public, prefer, the more traditional term, or the one that seems to be commonly used interchangably? Which has more of a ring to it? Robb, if you want me to start the CD in December, I'm sure I could cram it in, but I'm pretty sure it would have an adverse impact on the quality. Also, the diary concept of this stay tuned blog series involves my sharing about the process along the way, so that's what I'm doing, and the idea is to start the sharing process at the beginning of the musical creation process. Is that okay with you? :>) posted by

Federal law forbids me from singing. There's got to be a loophole somewhere in that law :>) Well, at least your Christmas music isn't being blasted into my livingroom like Dell Computer's "Deck the Halls, fa, la, la, la, la" comercial. Sounds like a bad case of Jingle Dells. posted by
