Link to my interview with B-town's biggest band since Korn and the Christmas song it inspired
Bakersfield is a small town. You never know just which big rock star(s) you'll run into.
Just a few months after I stumbled across ex-Korn Nu metal guitar sensation cum New York Times bestselling author, Brian "Head" Welch, and interviewed him, I stumbled across another local "once-lost-now-found" sensation, Lost Ocean, and interviewed them. Then, just a few days later, on Thanksgiving weekend, I ran into Brian Welch again, and talked about not-so-old times. These cats are not just local artists who stumbled into this town and, by a stroke of luck, found themselves on major labels. They are artists with truly inspiring stories to tell. Brian's story, his book, and my interview with him, inspired such Dr BLtunes as Tradin' in Korn (for a Crown of Thorns), Korn-bred and Korn off da Kobb. Now, just in time for my Christmas CD release party (Part II), to be held at Starbucks this coming Thursday evening at the very Starbucks where I met and interviewed this band (Rosedale Highway east of Calloway), the interview has inspired a new Christmas song, entitled, That Lost and Found Christmas Song. Here's the link to my Phantom Tollbooth interview with Lost Ocean: http://www.tollbooth.org/20... And you can hear what the song sounds like by hitting the virtual buttons above (if you haven't already). We hope to perform a live, "unplugged" version of ..Lost and Found... this Thursday night. Lost Ocean, thanks for the interview and the song it inspired. You guys rock! You guys, and your music, rocked my Christmas! Merry Christmas to you and yours, and a very Happy New Year! 0 comments from 0 users
