at Bakersfield Sound Underground, we're melting and mixing 80s synth rock and 50s Bakersfield Sound
Now that might sound like an odd combination, but when you go underground, you open yourself up to all sorts of odd combinations in the name of experimentation. Today, I've released my re-make of Modern English's Melt with You, and I've presented a challenge to listeners to take it to the next level by doing their own Kern County country rock version of the song, with a little Bakersfield Sound retro flavor in the mix. But you don't have to be an experimental artist to get something out of what I've posted at Bakersfield Sound Underground today. You'll also have the opportunity to respond to some questions of a psychological nature that have been drawn from the lyrics to Melt with You. Remember, if you're not going underground, you're not going anywhere. http://www.bakersfieldsound...

To be totally honest, that particular song has been used WAY TOO MUCH in commericals. I had a hard time finding the tune going thru a maze of your websites. (I'm kind of impatient today and have an INCREDIBLE headache, so maybe I went right past it) The reason I was interested is, I actually saw Modern English when I lived in Chicago. It *IS* an awesome song. posted by

Headaches can turn links into mazes. Actually, this link will take you directly to the thread and the little arrow at the bottom will allow you to hear my re-make. I hope your headache goes away. Those can really ruin a person's day.
