blognroll - > Dr BLT's Blog n Roll Studio -> I call it Hank's Haunted House
I call it Hank's Haunted House

I call it Hank's Haunted House, but Hank contributed the lion's share of the work on it, so who am I to give it a title?  I can't thank Hank Ray enough for allowing me to add my 2-cents worth to what I believe will be another future Hank Ray classic.

It was recorded on August 7, 2008 right here in the BuckarooM.

As you listen to this haunting song, feel free to reflect on any relationships that you've had that have left you feeling like you live in a ghost town.  If it's not too disturbing for you, feel free to share your story here in the comments section below.

I appreciate your comment, sage, as I'm sure Hank does too.

No problem, Hank, a pleasure, in fact.  Thanks for letting me be a part of the whole experience.

Great song Hank,thanks for posting this BLT. Just the other day I was day dreaming about the feel of my sons skin...different sort of love,but this song strikes a cord....haunting indeed.

Thank you.  You wouldn't have to be Lee Ann Rimes by any chance?  Rumor has it, it's now considered the hip thing to visit my blogs and Hank Ray's blogs if you're one of the members of Nashville's inner circle.  Of course, that rumor didn't start until just now :)

Tommy and Wanda divorced many years ago, and Wanda remarried.  Tommy Collins passed away several years ago.

Thanks for sharing your memories with the rest of us.  Does anybody know what happened to Tommy and Wanda Collins?

A tribute to Buck Owens and Country Music in Kern County:  My mom and Mrs Owens, Bucks mom, were good friends and they used to sit in our home and do quilting and Mrs Owens would talk a lot about Buck her struggling son. When he became famous Mrs Owens would travel with him and took care of the Union business for the band. Buck never forgot his roots here and one could write a book about that. One thing I remember was when he had KUZZ he had people drive around town looking for persons with a KUZZ sticker and hand them a $100 bill. It happened to a friend and she was so excited. ........................ What ever happened to some lesser knowns like Tommy and Wanda Colllins? They were good singers but the songs were not all that good. Their Gospel was better.
