What impact would a Re-born Korn have on "Korn" county?

The Bakersfield Californian feels lighter and costs more these days, but Shellie Branco's front-page article about Korn-founding-member, Reggie "Fieldy" Aruizu's conversion to Christ was both priceless and heavy.

In my blog n roll world, I supply the topic and the tunes.  The topic is posted in the subject line.  So here are the tunes:

Korn Off Da Kob

Tradin' in Korn (For a Krown of Thorns)

(including the lyrics to one)

Korn Off da Kob
Dr BLT
words and music by Dr BLT (c) 2007 Shrink Rap Records

he broke away from the band
that caused him fame
but his involvement in the band
well, it made him go insane
the road and the heavy load
the meth and the mob
made him turn to Christ
and now he's
Korn off da Kob

Korn of da Kob
Korn off da Kob
well he's climbin' the New York Times
best-selling list
he's Korn off da Kob
and he's baskin' in the bliss

some people criticize him
'cause he up and left the band
but he found out
he must draw the line
in the sand
when he criss-crossed over
some say his boys got dogged
but his daughter had a better dad
in Korn off da Kob
(chorus)

tradin' in Korn
for a Krown of thorns (repeat)

I met him in a sandwich shop
our daughters both had birthdays
wanted his autograph
in the worst way
so I helped him take his cookies
to his car
and I thought
yo, dude is humble
for an ex-Korn risin' star

This is the "Let's-cheer-for-another-rocker-that-found-a -way-to-pull-himself-up blog."  If you want to find a blog that says, "Kick the man back down," it's not very hard to find right here, right now at Bakersfield.com

Good for this guy I never heard of! Praise the Lord!

No matter who it is, it is always a cause for celebration when someone is able to escape the darkness, and move from a road of self-destruction to one of love, joy, peace and serenity.

I'm glad the guy found God. I hope his lifestyle and music reflect that. So half of the original band is now born-again.

How about this :

Joel 2:19 Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn [Korn?], and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen."

Hey we have Korn, Wine and Oil right here.

That's right, and after all, it is written, "Man cannot live on bread alone!" I think that verse may also have been prophetic in describing the band, Bread.  LOL.

It just takes one slip and what a mess---good luck amigo--if you're trying to quit smoking..you don't work in a smoke shop....

I see your point, Lingtawoo, and it's not a bad one either.  We'll have to wait and see if he's able to pull this off, but I'm not going to knock him down for taking a step in the right direction.

He IS on the right direction..and that's cool...just hope somebody will be there IF he starts to stray or falls down...good luck amigo...

Thanks for posting this blog, Dr BLT.  I, for one, am proud of Head and Fieldy, and I'm sure many others are pulling for them also.  Here's to their journey.  Good insight on the lyrics, by the way.

Thanks tuttsted.  I highly value and greatly appreciate your input and your opinions.
