Which is your favorite Hank among these 5 Hanks of country music?
If you've been listening to my input on KWMR's Bakersfield and Beyond radio show, you'll know where my biases lie. I believe in being true to our musical roots, to our own musical communities and supporting our own native sons. If you were asked to pick one of these, which Hank would you pick as your favorite? I'm torn between Hank Snow, one of Canada's native sons, and Hank Ray, one of Bakersfield's native sons who has yet to reach the apex of his musical career. This song reminds me of a young man 18 yrs old he was a son of a co worker and he went to Viet Nam never to return alive, we used write every day, and always wrote these lines,"I so lonesome I could cry" of course being a radio operator was the first to go, so I was told. On the day he passed away I recieved a letter from him,,I still have that picture of him and that letter, and those words. I miss him, posted by
