Two years ago I purchased a high-end Toshiba laptop from Comp USA on California ave.  At the time I was extremely up front about what it was to be used for, motorcycle journalism.  I expalained to the young salesmen thare that the machine would be subject ot extremes of temparutrue, moisture, vibreation and moisture.  He reassured me three time that no matter what is was, if I would only buy the extended service plan. everything would be covered

Now it is  is a couple of years later and althought the machine has had water spillied in it and been dropeed it just kept working and working.  Untill recently when the power cord broke off inside. After mamy week at the repair shop the service was denied.

I just come back from speaking with the store mamager, Gabriel Navarette, and Generral mangager Thomas Barton they refused to achknowlded that a verbal contract made in good faith .  After callintg me a liar they told me ther was nothing to be done and the I would even have to forfeit my extended warranty momey.

They blame the liquis spillage was the cause of all the damage and denied the repair on that basis.  An independet review has confirmed this is not the case.

They then, of course, tried to sell me a new machine

.
This is clearly dishonest, a breach of contract and a horroble way to do businees.

It has been on my recommendation the hundreds of these computers have been purchased  by riders all over the world.  I must now retract my statement and have them trade in their toshibas for  a computer backed by a company who knows how to do businses.

Freinds, family, long rider and  other of my aquitance make ti your businees to avioid circuit city and toshiba lapstops at all cost. There are plantey to choose from.

And, they have not heard the end of this yet.

Take Care.

Cameron
