dj absent dave dodger fan ...

To TBC, thanks for kicking djembe, absent dave, dodger fan or what ever else alias this person goes by off of the blog site.  Maybe now he can use that spare time to go look for a job and be a productive member of the society.  Or, he may show up with a new ip address.  As smart as he has been in getting back to this site, you wonder why he doesn't apply that to his personal life to get ahead.  I will not miss him.

He wanted to get kicked off this time; it was a blatant violation of TOS. I'm sure he was just getting bored because no one was responding to his posts. He'll be back again.

WOW!! DJ got dumped????  hmmmmm must have missed that one.  oh well - no great loss IMO.

casooner:  I avoided that site like the plague.  I commented two or three times at the beginning of his stay here, but it was pretty clear that it was a site I needed to stay away from.  Who needs that?  I just wonder what took them so long.  Waiting for him to do himself in?

Something tells me we haven't heard the last of him ...

Two words that could not explain everything about that guy any better:  "dodger fan" .

I personally didn't like djembe & it was extremely obvious he was caught up in the phony left-right paradigm (like many of you) but he sure did a great job agitating the local Neo-Con crowd.

oh well couldnt have happened to a more deserving fellow..   now that hes gone i can use my boys pic from when he was serving in baghdad for an avatar for awhile..because of dj ive felt so unloved for so long i kinda feel like i need the boost

Which is why I like the guy.

So how long before we have another blogger claiming TBC wrongly blocked them from posting when they just happen to land on one of DJ's old IP addresses? Anyone want to start a pool?

posted by defyinggravity on Oct 26, 2009 at 09:45 PM

well hopefully they also got rid of sioux.  I think his personal attack and devotion of time to agitating and mocking dj was childish at best.

posted by defyinggravity on Oct 26, 2009 at 09:48 PM

goodness gracious WHAT DID I MISS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Sioux is a cool guy, and he just cracked me up.

defy..why you such a hater?? look at it this way.. now you can come back to earth with the rest of us..just keep saying 'toes touch the grass' 3 times real fast...

posted by siouxcityranch on Oct 26, 2009 at 10:12 PM

hahah thanks dude...i was starting to get a complex ..

and defy..dj got what he was asking for when i was editing his avatars..they were being generated towards me to get my goat so i decided to make fun of his efforts so he would understand he was wasting his time....i even stopped for a couple of days and put my halloween mak back up..then i saw a recent post of him again talking smack about me so it started all over again.. he locked me out of his blog so i had no other recourse..i had a right to defend myself..im sure if anyone else on here was treated with so much disrespect you would have done the same or similar..

Sioux, Savvy, and Dril are some of the funniest bloggers on TBC.com. When they are on a roll they have me literally laughing out loud and nearly falling out of my chair!

posted by NancyII on Oct 26, 2009 at 10:40 PM

I go off to work a few hours and all hell breaks loose.  Couldn't you guys at least wait for me to get home?

I can't explain the difference but I have no problem when Liberals like RF, Anti, Adam and Noone post but there's just a feeling of revulsion when people like dj posts.  I've never felt like I really wanted to leave the blog except for those few who bring that nauseated feeling to the surface.

Sioux, I'm glad this is over..at least until the dip comes back as a New Frankenstein.

dril, you seriously need to stop hating on the Dodgers, as well as USC football. What common ground can you and I possibly find?  ; )

I love you anyway, LOL.

The Dodgers.  Always a bridesmaid...never a bride.  Sigh.

Back in the old days I was a die hard Reds fan and daughter Dreamifucan was a big time Dodgers fan.  I used to razz her because the Dodgers always got rght up to the finish line then fizzled.  When Pete Rose got busted for gambling, she asked me "what do you think of your boy NOW?"  I told her he was still the greatest of all time.

(what else could I say?)

How do you find out when someone has been banned from the blogs?  And what did dj do to supposedly get banned?

(I'm like you, Nancy.  I'm away for a few hours and miss all the fun!)

posted by learnem on Oct 27, 2009 at 03:14 AM

make NO mistake....he'll be back......I wonder what name he'll come up with?

posted by samheath on Oct 27, 2009 at 06:27 AM

Nancy, I lost interest in the Dodgers when they moved to L.A. I knew then nothing is sacred in sports and America was going downhill. SCR: It is always "Good riddance to bad rubbish" on this blog site. Stick to your guns when it comes to the bad guys.

posted by casooner90 on Oct 27, 2009 at 06:35 AM

We should have a pool on dj's new nickname when he comes back.  I like the "UNDEAD" my self.

Drill, you must be a giant fan.  Except for that, you're cool.

My guess on dj getting kicked off is probably from his post on capital punishment.  I wonder what he'll do with ALL of his time when he can't post on TBC anymore?  That guy must have some kind of record for putting out more trash on this site.

posted by ALICEN on Oct 27, 2009 at 08:23 AM

Casooner:  The guy had more time than I did (do), and I'm retired!  Go figure.  I used to look at the list of new blogs and was agape at the sheer numbers of them.

Oh, and I like "the Undead," too, for the new name.

posted by NancyII on Oct 27, 2009 at 08:24 AM

For all dj's talk about the right being "haters," he was the biggest hypocrite of all when it came to "hate."  You don't blithely go skipping through the blog flinging arrows at everyone who disagrees with you without eventual reppercussion.

He's like a virus on your computer, he always finds a way around the safeguards.  Most likely he's sitting somwhere, licking his chops and laughing, thinking of a new way to wreak havok.

People like him (trolls) raise my "gurk" level into the red zone.

Thirded.

Djembe could be rude, no doubt, but no ruder than many of the people who have posted here, celebrating his departure.

posted by elinem on Oct 27, 2009 at 10:15 AM

I've seen a lot worse than what djembe posted. It makes you wonder about the criteria for banning someone and how fairly that's applied.

posted by ronmexico on Oct 27, 2009 at 10:17 AM

djembe was a waste of bandwidth.   Barack Obama said it best  ..... "I didn't lose any sleep over it"...

posted by NancyII on Oct 27, 2009 at 10:20 AM

It's not the individual posts that cause the problem, it's the constant barrage of accusations and berating people day in and day out.   After a while it get to you.  elim, there are behind the scenes happenings that we aren't aware of.  When those are brought to the moderators attention they act.  And they don't come back and tell us details or reasons.

One thing that happens is when they finally track down an ISP that's been suspended and activated elsewhere.

posted by defyinggravity on Oct 27, 2009 at 11:19 AM

Laurah, you said it best!

Whatever happened to turning the other cheek? If everyone is concerned with topping the next person, eventually it's going to go to far.

Sioux, I'm doing just dandy off the ground.

You said it better than me Laurah

I'm glad he's gone, after the  first couple of blogs his intent was obvious and irritating so he became just one more to ignore.  Like Nancy there are a  few on here that are politically opposite to me but I can read their posts with what is  nearly an open mind.  RF does sound a little more bitter than usual lately.

I have always Hated the Dodgers.

posted by pogo on Oct 27, 2009 at 02:05 PM

Drat! I missed it too. Dj was OK, just a little off the wall. Sometimes I get paranoid and think some of the "old timers" here think they can get someone banned who offends them, but I am sure I am wrong.

Sioux, your attacks on dj were personal my friend and never funny.

Dragoon, sioux, savvy, dril = funny? To quote Barney Frank, "What planet are you from?"

posted by dragoon on Oct 27, 2009 at 05:34 PM

I'm from Earth, Pogo. To quote Barney Frank, "Are you from Uranus?"

posted by pogo on Oct 27, 2009 at 06:03 PM

Drag, I just have to say, if you think those guys are funny, then ...never mind.

posted by dragoon on Oct 27, 2009 at 06:13 PM

Pogo, aren't you being just a bit two-faced? Didn't you just call Sioux "my friend" on another blog when you found out you shared the same astrological sign or were you being disingenuous?

There's nothing wrong with my sense of humor or what I find funny. Like most people, it runs from the sublime to the profane depending on my mood.
