Introducing Baby Sasha!
Baby Sasha is a Catgirl rescue. Catgirl found her beside a dumpster, huddled next to a brown cardboard box. She was barely visible and barely alive. She was severely dehydrated and near starvation. It was 6AM, Catgirl made a mad run to the store for Pedialite and white Karo Syrup, added a couple of other things and started feeding the mix to Sasha with an eyedropper. A couple of hours later she was moving, breathing better and ready for some "Wellness" canned kitten food. After a short rest it was time to get rid of the fleas and bugs. She handled a warm bath with organic tea-tree shampoo quite well and seemed to actually enjoy it. Poor Baby, must have felt good to get rid of the fleas...... more food and pedialite after the bath and then off to the vets. Other than being severely dehydrated and undernourished she was not in bad shape. Still had flea dirt on her though, so a baby dose of advantage was needed. The next day was a different story........the fecal tests revealed that our little Sasha has a parasitic infection, contagious to other cats. Good thing she was still in isolation at this point and not sharing a litter box. Phew, that could have been bad. So she has two weeks of medication before going back to the vets for tests. Hopefully the tests will be clean and Sasha will be ready for foster care and adoption. What a rough start for such a pretty little girl!
