dcs217 - > New Wine -> (edit) ---- HAGGLING ----
(edit) ---- HAGGLING ----

Jewish people have a reputation for haggling. There is even a phrase for it ..."Jew them down." We're never told NOT to "haggle" in the Bible. In fact Abraham haggled with God for the city of Sodom!

  So Proverbs 20:14  seems out of place and doesn't make sense ......

  " It's no good, it's no good!" says the buyer; then off he goes and boasts about his purchase."  .......... and the point is?

   Unless this is a depiction of Satan purchasing souls for cheap and then bragging to God about it !

 What does he bid?  Religion, evolution , booze, drugs ....... a mere pittance  -------

Because Jesus Christ has offered up  His very life to purchase all men with His blood.

  And if you are undecided, or you have been bought cheap .... the sale isn't final as long as  you're still  breathing!

Talibangelist  -- Those two comments were meant to be humorous. Everyone was slamming Barnett and I do think there is another side to that story. I think she is going through a very difficult situation because of her convictions. And although I think I would have handled it differently, I dont know the whole story and I choose to give her grace and the benefit of the doubt.

  By the way thanks Tony  -- just testin' ya

Bartering and haggling are two different things.

Bartering is actually traiding goods and services without money. Haggling is arguing over the price.
