Uh oh...I predict the hypocrites on this blog will have something to say about this.

Being against gay marriage does not a hypocrite make. Being against it, and then signing bills for gay marriage and Milky Gay day DOES.

ghostriter, the point of the video (which you obviously didn't watch) is that people who are against gay marriage often use the argument that allowing gay people to get married undermines marriage itself.  That being said, if you really want to protect marriage, the video says....nah, I'm not going to spell it out for you.  You'll have to watch it on your own.

You're right...I didn't watch it. Videos don't work on my office computer very well. I will watch it, though, when I get home. Maybe I really am missing something.

I don't know about banning divorces as there are always some folks with a loopy idea of what marriage is, so they should be, as DJ would pompously say, rare, safe and legal. Better yet, mandate that couples to be attend pre-marriage counseling.

DJ's argument falls short when you consider he's probably all for Harvey Milk Day yet would throw a hissy fit if the schools were to honor Jesus Christ because that would offend the non-Christians. Well, what about those who are offended by Milk's lifestyle that goes against their religion, huh?

Well PAX... there is a difference between making a day "harvey milk day" or forcing you to celebrate it.  And honoring Jesus in school is forcing something on to someone else.  There is a difference.

There's also a major difference because people like Harvey Milk, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, et al were *AMERICANS.*  Jesus was not.

Well, what about those who are offended by Milk's lifestyle that goes against their religion, huh?

I'm offended by your hateful lifestyle, pax, but I won't try to stop you from living it.  How 'bout that?

well hay hay... im offended by your lifestyle dj..keep it under your roof and out of peoples faces who also dont care for it..just like you and your gay atheist pals are trying to do to religion..how bout that??

example of what a gay lifestyle has over our tv vieiwing..today flippen through the channels..i came across LOGO and the show title is

Ebony Chunky Love:B**ch cant get a date...

is this how we want our hetro kids future channel selection to be??..this type of exposure is just SICK yet its typical gay procedure..this type of perverted crap is exactly what we are protesting about..get used to it

Well one sioux... what does dj do in you face that he does under his roof? (HAHAHAHA)  He's not out making out with a guy. no no. nor is he having sex with someone in public.  Gay men don't hold hands.  None of it.  So explain to me what you mean by lifestyle in your face?  For one if it's the stuff he posts on this blog you don't have to read it.  The same with that LOGO channel.  You don't have to watch it.  That's where that whole choice thing christians harp about comes in to play.  You want your freedom to do what makes you happy and fulfills tyour life but hey... forget what anyone else wants with their freedom. When you start silencing peoples voices does it no longer mean "free speech."

Also!  Why do you want your kids channel surfing?  You don't want them out playing with the other kids?  Or doing after school activities?  TV shouldn't be a baby sitter.  And if it as least you will have the remote.  Have some responsibility over your kids.

Good article in today's TBC. The judge at the prop 8 appeal asked the anti-gay marriage lawyer how gay marriage threatened traditional marriage - lawyer said "I don't know".

My whole theory on dj and Sioux has been destroyed! They are on the same page. I am crushed.

...and he never will since any individual's marriage success doesn't depend on any one else's marriage. It's a core conservative value that everyone must accept responsibility for their OWN life and their OWN relationship and that if your relationship fails, it ain't because someone else got married.

Ray, I have a friend who is gay who has been to my home on various occaisions for dinner. We just celebrated our 50th anniversary. He is in a committed relationship, but didn't get married during the "window". For the life of me, I don't see the threat. Our marriage is more threatened by my propensity of watching baseball games and drinking beer (according to my wife), neither of which is the subject of a proposition.

Well you don't have my vote. I'm against gay marriage and proud of it.

Well congrats animalluvr.  Good thing I don't get a choice on your marriage cause I'd say no.

I want to protect marriage for both straights and same-sex couples.
