I thought that the election of 0bama was going to bring hope, change and better times for all. At least that is what I heard during the campaign. But ever since the election, I've heard nothing but doom and gloom... from the left! Today on TBC.com they are lamenting the 8.5 trillion dollar debt heading our way. And now, over at The Daily Kos, We're being told of a coming famine next year! Talk about lowering expectations on a new President. They did tell me that if I voted for John McCain it might just ruin the country, and they might just be right! The first couple of times this played, I was kinda "Ugh", but the more I saw it, the funnier it got. Hey! Maybe the Obama's could use these to pickout a dog. Use it as a dog food dish at various kennels and take the one that licks Barry's mug the cleanest. I was especially touched by the man writing at his desk, looking over at the plate and smiling in inspiration. Operators are standing by. With the suggestions, that since the election is over, it is best that we all unite behind the new President is all nice and fine until I remember 2000 and the absence of any honeymoon whatsoever. Accusations that continued to this day, even after being proved otherwise, that the election was stolen and Bush was "selected not elected". While even today here on B.com, people refer to "the last 8 years" as though they had spent them in Auschwitz or something. So, if the Republicans want back into the White House, they need to start opposing the Democrats now. James G. Wiles of the Philadelphia Bulletin writes an excellent piece on how to start this opposition. "...what would Rahm Emanuel do if he had Congressman John Boehner's job as House Minority Leader? After being bombarded by the "civil/human rights" argument by the no on 8 crowd, it is shocking to read this. "It was like being at a klan rally except the klansmen were wearing Abercrombie polos and Birkenstocks." |
