Here is another drawing that was finished a while back but got too busy to post it here (I am on my third drawing since this one was completed). The photo is from the same photographer that took the the picture of the man in a turban, who happen to be a desert herdsman. A man from a wealthy family but perferred the desert over the crowded cities. The old man shown here was selling herbs along a trade route in north Africa, to a sick woman. This book project is about 110 pages so far and as soon as I get a six more drawings done, I'll send it off to the publisher who has asked for a manuscript as soon as possible. Keep me in your prayers that the publisher likes what they see! Anyhow, I'm still looking for photos of women to draw for this project. Im all my years as a professional artist I have noticed that more men are willing to pose and trade for the drawing, where women want to get paid. Sorry ladies.... I'm a working artist and can only offer trade! If there is anyone out there interested in having their portrait drawing (male ort female) , and hold the rights to the photos of them please feel free to contact me here or my private email. And be sure to check out my work online atr www.paper2pencil.com or at www.myspace.com/paper2pencil where you can see samples of the drawings for this book, so far. Your comments and suggestions are greatly welcomed... and yes, for thos who know me and my typing skills, I have an editor for the book. .... my boss! David |
