Move on, Bruce Sons

PUBLISHED 6/26/08 -----

OK, Bruce Sons, can we please move on?

Now that the Second District Court of Appeal has refused to erase your 2006 conviction for voluntary manslaughter in the 1994 shooting death of a California Highway Patrol officer — a conviction you ought to view as a godsend, in view of the first-degree murder verdict you might have gotten — will you please focus your attention elsewhere?

Yes, there were complications in the original trial that delayed justice — complications that included the withholding of key evidence by the prosecution. That first guilty verdict was overturned, resulting in second, third and fourth trials.

But, viewed even in the most generous of lights, your behavior that day was irresponsible and reprehensible. Whether Officer Richard Maxwell was overly aggressive (as the defense alleged) or not, your behavior clearly escalated the situation.

The Court of Appeal is correct in ruling that this effort to completely clear your record is without merit — and that you were properly convicted of voluntary manslaughter in that fourth trial.

“This opinion hopefully brings an end to the continuing legal saga of the People of the State of California versus Bruce Lynn Sons,” the court wrote.

Sons lives in Colorado these days. Let’s hope he has really moved on — not just his address, but also his focus.

Bruce Sons does need to move on before Klan County's law enforcement drives to CO and causes him great bodily harm.  Leave well enough alone.

I for one would like to see Maxwell's name taken off the interchange.......Maxwell was the aggressor....Over aggressive cops suck...Maxwell picked that fight....and lost.

Sure Sons lives in Colorado - NOT! He's in town folks, at least he was, and sighted frequently.

He should be happy with the manslaughter charge.  That's what it should have been all along.

Bakonative, of course Bruce Sons has been spotted in Bakersfield recently. Crank is at least $200 cheaper per oz. here than it is in Colorado...

Oh, Old Blue, I knew I could count on you for backup! But you and I KNOW he's here a lot. He has a lot of junk, if you get my meaning!

Who's paying all of Son's legal fees?  Did they have a car wash I missed?

Hey Gube, how do you know Maxwell was the aggressor?  Were you in the car?  All you know is what you've read no doubt and we all know how "accurate" that is.   Papers sell exagerated stories, if they didn't, who the hell would read them?   Besides, Sons actions were not justified no matter what Maxwell did.  Nancy, the taxpayers are probably paying for his legal fees.  Why not, we pay for everything else.

Gube is lead by what he reads in MSM (LSM)

That's why he blames Bush for everything from his undue flatulence to salmonella

Certainly Bruce Sons was an upstanding cit and who amongst us wouldn't spend all night driving around cranked up and still tweaking try and gun down a chippie? (whatever the circumstances)

Yep. Maxwell was the aggressor. Just another George Bush.

So tell me you almighty Chico were do you get your info.....................out of a horse's azz????????

I would rather back a tweeker then a abusive cop with a history of being a dick head...................Maxwell was a dick head!
