We should honor our leaders
Who would have thought? The liberal city by the Bay is one of the first with a group to announce plans to name a public facility to honor outgoing President Bush.
Post your suggestions. Bakersfield is expanding its sewage treatment plant? Who deserves this honor? Is there a politician crazy enough to merit his or her name on KMC's Ward 3-B? How about the Kern County Fairgrounds' grandstand? Does a grandstanding politician come to mind? You get the picture. Now draw your own conclusions. 6 comments from 5 users

Well, we could create the Vick Animal Shelter; the Michael Jackson Day Care; John McCain Abortion Clinic; name a water park after some kid who drowned in a swimming pool---I'm sure these people would come by to cut the ribbon. posted by

How 'bout another after Shrub...the GW Bush Animal Control Facility in Kern County. After all, Shrub has sent so many Americans to slaughter, and caused the deaths of so many overseas, I think it is appropriate that our county "kill shelters", famous for the largest number of euthanized animals in the state, be renamed for him. posted by

The Congressional Public Transit? You know the destination but don't understand how it's getting there and know it will be late. And if the driver explains it to you, you don't know what he just said.
