Governor, it’s time to kick some legislative booty
PUBLISHED 7/20/08 Do you know what a “ripoff” is? It is when Democrats and Republicans in Sacramento don’t have the interest or the guts to fix the state’s budget mess, so they allow the pain to roll downhill to the cities and counties Californians rely on for their day-to-day government services.

The picture accompanying this editorial in the paper was of a librarian placing Spanish language books on the shelf. This spoke volumes about the wasteful spending going on in government. It is essentially doubling governmentt spending (1 book in English, 1 in Spanish) to accommodate a group that does not want to integrate into American society. This is just another reason why I will continue to reject any tax increases for any purpose. posted by

and lets add 1% to our local sales tax burden to allow them to continue profligate spending in Sacto (knowing we are doing our own taxation modalities which allow us to operate local govt even if they take a bunch of our taxes from another source to fund State Govt). Makes a hell of a lot of sense to me???
