Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney's lil sis, is pregnant!
Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, has confirmed to OK Magazine in an interview that hits newstands tomorrow, that she is pregnant. She is the star of Nickelodeon's " Zoey 101" and the little sister of Britney Spears.
When things like this happen as they do, my concern is for the little girls that look up to her and how do the parents explain it to them? I get that girls her age get pregnant all the time but most that do, don't have a huge following of little girls that are impressionable and want to be just like them. Same thing with Vanessa Hudgens of High School Musical.......she took naked pics that got out and I had a friend tell me that her 8 year-old cousin asked her about it. What do you say about it that will encourage them not to be like them? 61 comments from 28 users

Okay so she is pregnant... she is not the first 16 year old to get pregnant. People let her live her life and worry about your own. No one has the right to tell her that what she is doing is wrong. She became pregnant not just because of her actions. She is having this baby because it is in God's plan.... Let her live her life without everyone else butting in where they don't belong. How you would like somone throwing your mistakes at you over and over again? Oh I know you are perfect huh? As far as being a role model for young girl yes she is one but also it is not her job to teach these young girls the difference between right and wrong - it is the parents job! The parents need to stop having TV stars and movie stars teach their kids the values and morals that they as parents should be doing. People worry about your own lives and let her worry about hers!!! posted by

definitely not someone for little girls to look up to... unbeleivable, and it makes me sick. especially with the mother, isn't it illegal for her to allow this, and if not, it should be. to let the b/f live there I mean, at what point does she become the parent???? DO THE YOUNG PARENTS PLAN TO GET MARRIED???

This is unbeleivable to me, what mother in her right or wrong mind is going to allow a 19 yr old to move in with her 16 yr old daughter? I hope she didn't think they were really playing monopoly together when she turned in before they did, my god isn't that like child neglect or something anyway, and where is the dad? what does he have to say about all this? If she was my daughter, I would of course be totally supportive no matter her personal decision, but then again, if she was my daughter, this would have never been allowed, and never would have happened., Don't they know what Depo-provera, or BIRTH CONTROL is , and didnt mom realize that she was old enough for some sure fire pregnancy prevention, especially if she is gonna let b/f live in home with daughter..... maybe she really is pimping her daughters out, and dad loves her too much to take off his blinders....This story made me sick. posted by

The mother shoul've been more careful about her younger child, rather than worrying about Britney. Maybe Jamie Lynn wanted to get pregnant. Who Knows? But, definitely it will interfere with her career, because all the young little girl that look up to her, what are thet going to think?

Let's see... Mom lets 16 year old daughter's adult boyfriend live in, Gets girl preggers from adult boyfriend... Seems to me . BOTH the mom and the young stud should be arrested and charged with crimes. The mother for deliberately corrupting her daughter by allowing the young stud to live there in the same trailer. If she could stand in front of a judge and say she never thought her daughter would get preggers she should be forcibly committed to a mental institution. The 19 year old needs to be locked up for unlawful sex with a minor.(California Penal Code 261.5) The law is quite clear. But we all know the fix is in and no one will get anything worse than a multi-million dollar deal. In my opinion, If the L.A. DA doesn't press charges on behalf of the people of California, he doesn't deserve to be a DA. posted by

Thomas Nelson publishes much much more than inspirational books and Bibles, which is my point. Check out the website. Check out the Authors and some of their books. (ie Spencer Wells, Donald Trump) Thomas Nelson may have been built on Christian values, but they are surviving in today's world by publishing more than Christian materials.

And the reason for my remark earlier: from tzm.com Now, a source at the Enquirer has leaked us the letter Jamie Lynn's lawyers sent them at the time. It's priceless! It reads: “Ms. Spears is a devout Christian with a spotless reputation, who lives in accordance with the highest moral and ethical standards in accordance with her faith. There is no “rumor” concerning Ms. Spears’ (non-existent) pregnancy, except perhaps for the baseless “rumor” just now being created by the National Enquirer. Ms. Spears is not pregnant. It is pathetic for the National Enquirer to attempt to create a wholly baseless “rumor” that Ms. Spears is pregnant, so it can run a malicious story and false story which would be emotionally devastating to a morally upright 16 year old girl.” posted by

he likes "the grandpa thing." How much is he going to like the 'granpa thing' when he ends up supporting the daughter and child or gets left totally with the child to raise because daughter took off?????? That didn't happen. The young man moved to San Diego for a while, then the two parents and baby moved to Washington. The little boy is six years old now. posted by

Maybe Britney can give her little sister a few tips on parenting. If it weren't for their singing careers and money, we would put this down as just another example of ignorant women begetting ignoriant daughters, begetting ignorant children. The good news for taxpayers is, they aren't on welfare, foodstamps or WIC. posted by

Stickbugs, the funniest part about Lynn Spear's book is that it's getting printed and released by a Christian publisher. I'm willing to bet their collective spincters tightened up on news of the pregnancy. Not necessarily. It could be like the guy who wrote "How to Invest in Real Estate" He mentioned you as a "Good Bad Example" or "What Not to Do" The more pitfalls and pratfalls that befall your RE "career" the better it is for him (by way of example) posted by

And I bet the boyfriend will not be arrested for statutory rape. Several years ago my friends son (18) got his girlfriend (16) pregnant. They got married with the full knowledge of all parents. After baby was born the kids split and the boy asked for a divorce. The mom of the girl then filed a complaint with the BPD/DA for statutory rape - the young man was arrested!!! He got probation, totally took responsibility and paid child support. They were married for pete's sake! posted by

She meet the guy at her church, and she has in other articles held herself up as a christian. My buddy Gary in San Diego signed his sixteen-year-old daughter up for a Christian program that was intended to - among other things - keep teenage girls from getting pregnant. She met a young man on a trip to the Pacific Northwest and got pregnant (Gary wasn't too upset, though. He said he likes "the grandpa thing.") posted by

Wow 19 year old live in boyfriend with a 16 year old....well no wonder she got pregnant. GREAT parenting skills. What a book that would be. There's no way a Christian publisher would print this book now. She'll have to get a new publisher. "Indefinitely" probably means never.... posted by
