Here are the Oscar Nominations that were announced today!
I guess the big suprise was that "Dreamgirls" was not nominated for Best Picture, even though they won Best Picture at the Golden Globes and everyone was sure it would. "Dreamgirls" did get the most nominations with 8! What did you think of these movies and/or nominations?

I didn't see The Queen or Letters from Iwo Jima, but The Departed was much more gripping than Babel or Little Miss Sunshine.
And Blood Diamond was more gripping than The Departed.  I'm surprised it was not on the list.

Leonardo DiCaprio was great in both. Will Smith was outstanding in Pursuit of Happyness, but that movie was hard to watch until the final two minutes.

I hated Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada, which means she was terrific in how she played that part.
