Does this happen with your significant other (or wife, or lover, or only friend on the face of the planet)? One of you can handle a little gore in a movie and the other winces? I like action movies and some have a tendency to splatter blood.  My wife prefers cute love stories where they only splatter the love. So we went out and saw "Eastern Promises" over the weekend. Barry Manilow has decided that he is boycotting "The View" because Elisabeth Hasselbeck is on it. My understanding is he is also a friend of Rosie O' Donnell's. Here is a statement that he put on his site: "I wanted to let you know that I will no longer be on The View tomorrow as scheduled. I had made a request that I be interviewed by Joy, Barbara or Whoopi, but not Elisabeth Hasselback [sic]. Unfortunately, the show was not willing to accommodate this simple request...
