Rosedale Highway where two lanes is too small
Rosedale Highway, one of the busiest roads in Bakersfield, isn't expected to be widened on the town's western edges any time soon.
Residents have complained of the danger to turn left off the highway out near Jenkins Road and Renfro Road where it is a two-lane road. A project to install stoplights at Renfro Road is expected to be completed by fall, but there are no current plans to widen the road west of Allen Road. Do you think such a project needs to be placed on a front burner? Posted by Steve E. Swenson 2 comments from 2 users

Man, i get soooooo mad when i hear about things like this.. i am mad because our county and city leaders just let any jo blow come here in the last few years, develop certain areas, AND NOT CHARGE THEM ENOUGH OF A FEE TO COMPLETE THE INFRASTRUCTuRE TO AND FROM THESE DEVELOPMENTS. Think of all the public works projects we would have....but hindsight is 20/20.
anyway, I feel that Rosedale HWY should be 4 lanes all the way out to enos ln. Have you ever seen the amount of big rigs that travel that road daily? literally thousands of them
it should be 6-8 lanes from 99 to allen, then 6 lanes to all the new developments, then down to 4 until enos posted by

Not to worry, now that Bakersfield has taken the road over from Caltrans.....it will soon be a freeway!
