I remember when older people used to be wise in the ways of the world.

The other night, my sweet wife, Mary, and I went to the El Portal Mexican restaurant on Ming Avenue near Ashe Road.
We love the place because it feels like our own little neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Has a nice home, friendly feel.
We had a new server, a man whose name I should have jotted down, but didn't.
But this guy greeted us with enthusiasm. Loved our selections. Didn't laugh at me when my wife ordered a margarita and I ordered milk. Made sure my milk glass was full....
