I really do not understand why we so desperately need this so called "health care reform" in the United States. I have a good job and pay $250.00 a month for my health care. This entitles my wife and I to $10 to $15 prescriptions, $15.00 doctor visits and $50.00 hospitalization.

My son and his girlfriend both make minimum wage. They had a baby about a year and a half ago, they occupied a private room at Memorial Hospital for four days at a total cost of zero dollars. They get doctor visits (all three of them) and prescriptions for zero dollars.

We have two good friends that are the same age as us. He has been getting Social Security disability for epilepsy for at least the last ten years that we have known him. His wife is on Long Term Disability from her job for at least around fifteen years. They get hospitalization, doctor visits and prescriptions for zero dollars. She has had at least four surgeries in the last two or three years at a cost of zero dollars.

So why the big urgent "need" for health care reform ? I am sure that after the government gets done with this I will be paying alot more than my $250.00 dollars a month in increased tax burden and everyone else will continue to get their coverage for zero dollars... so why is it again that we so desperately need health care reform in this country ?

An interesting article about the new / old marijuana users. Now these are the real evil drug addicts in America. This is why we should really keep this evil herb illegal.

A rant… I have just been thinking alot lately… what’s the point of the game we are in and what have we really done that truly makes a difference, I can’t think of anything myself. I just do not see any true progress in the world. Somewhat depressing maybe but I just don’t see the point of it all and where we are headed… there should be something on the horizon… but I can’t see it.

What have we really accomplished in the last, oh let’s say one hundred years. Not much, except for the changes in electronic equipment we are still using the same basic technologies that have been around forever. We are still using the same old transportation methods, Volt, Prius or whatever, it’s still a Henry Ford. Planes, trains and automobiles. “Well we have traveled in space and sent men to the Moon, (maybe?). And so what if we did, what did we get out of that? Even our civilizations haven’t changed, we still kill each other over Gods and goods. Then we have our archaic government system. Republicans, Democrats, who cares, none of them are doing any of us any good. All they seem to accomplish is division. They say that they want to help us out. They are certainly not helping anyone but themselves. Are any of us average people better off than folks were 100 years ago, I think not.  The class division is way worse now than it used to be, sure their rich buddies are better off, but we are not. They are not helping me and they are certainly not helping those less fortunate than myself (although they would like us to think they are). Like this health care debacle they are working on now, I’m sure we will all be worse off after “they” get done with us, things just always seem to work out that way “put in their hands”. And who came up with the idea of charging people for food in the first place. I mean kind of like charging you for dirt, oh I forgot, they do that, property taxes. OK, I’ll boil it all down real quick here for you. I have a government that basically tells me what to do, I work for a company that tells me what to do, I live in a house that someone else owns (the bank). I work so that I can pay my government, buy some food and pay for the dirt I’m on. One day I will die and not have to pay for my food or dirt anymore… to what end. Oh yeah that’s right I have kids and grandkids that can work for the rest of their lives to pay the government, someone for their food and dirt and then they will die… and so on and so on… what’s the point. Have we really done anything in the last 100 years… I don’t think so… and at this rate we are not going to.

Are we having fun yet. Thanks for the rant… and really, what’s the point.

I was recently diagnosed with Ménière's disease. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has this and how they are dealing with it. It includes vertigo spells, hearing loss and tinnitus (ringing in the effected ear). I was put on a 1000 to 1500 milligram per day sodium diet (not easy my friends). Anyhow, if anyone has this or knows alot about it I sure would love your input. Thanks.

"Hey you", come over and see "Which One's Pink?" at Fishlips this Saturday night  July 11th, 2009.  It's not much "Money" and I am sure you will have a good "Time".  They have good food there if you feel like "Pigs", and a full bar if you feel like getting "Comfortably Numb".  Their December performance still "Echoes" in my head.  If you want to "Have A Cigar", please go outside so that others may "Breathe".  If there are no seats available feel free to stand against "The Wall". While I am there, please don't make me think "Wish You Were Here". So don't "Meddle" about... get your tickets now.

I don't give a crap about, Micheal Jackson, Steve McNair, GM, Obama, Sarah Palin, same sex marriage, Amanda Knox, global warming (or cooling), the guy that went to Argentina (or where ever he went). There is nothing I can do about any of these things... and whatever I try to do about them isn't going to make a difference one way or the other. Oh sure, we are told "you can make a difference"... bullcrap to the tenth degree. "If you don't like your Senator... go out and vote and make a change"... I haven't liked either one of them for years now and have voted against them time and time again, and guess what... they are still in there. I wanted Mitt Romney to be president.(not that he would be any beter or worse than anyone else).. how did that work for ya?... So who cares if Obama spends us into the next millennium... what are YOU going to do about it... nothing that's what... no matter what you do, or how hard you try... it don't mean SQUAT. Just hold on and see what "The Governator" has in store for us... and what are we/you going to do about it... that's right, NOTHING... because there is nothing we can do about it... try, or not.

And do you think any of these people give a crap about me or you... they do not care in the least.

What it is... is what it is... and that's the way it is.

In conclusion... "Frankly my dear Scarlet" .....I don't give a crap.

Joey Chestnut keeps the Nathans mustard yellow belt in the U.S. for the third consecutive year. He did it this year in a world record pace... you had to see it to believe it... thanks ESPN for showing us this live each year. I make sure and have a few dogs myself while I watch... not 68 though.
