HR-645... Possible Detention Camps ?
Check this out... heard about this tonight on "Coast to Coast AM" with George Noory from guest Jerry Corsi... sounds like it's being touted as a place to house people in an emergency... but it seems the "powers that be" are getting ready for possible rioting and violence due to the "economic situation"... then they will be using these places to "house" people under a "martial law" type situation... or as "housing" for all of the people displaced due to housing and/or job losses. 8 comments from 4 users

I read the entire text of the law as well as the supporting legislative definitions. At no point did I understand the law to permit compulsory detention of individuals under any circumstances. Proposals such as this aren't new, (it makes sense to use spare infrastructure during an emergency) and it seems with each administration and crisis there are claims that the current president or congress is preparing to impose martial law as soon as the next reichstag fire can be staged. I have read such hyperbole about Bush, and now it begins with Obama... Our liberties are very much under assault, but we, as a voting public are the ones assaulting them--if you follow what I mean. Specifically, in the name of "safety" we are the ones who support and pass evermore draconian legislation to regulate one another because someone made a foolish choice (drug offender registries), or because of their sexual (some sex offender legislation or anti-gay legislation) or political orientation (some anti-gun legislation), or because their national origin is different from the majority (proposals for laws attempting to bar the receipt of basic human rights for non-citizens). I do not believe however, the government is organizing a coordinated assault on our remaining freedoms to serve nefarious ends. We're doing just fine destroying freedom all by ourselves. MP

I'll hide and watch. Maybe I should stop reading revelations. Second that motion. Wonder why nobody seemed to object when Shrub was hiring Halliburton to provide detention camps: http://www.marketwatch.com/...
