Arizona has passed laws that will hold the Employers that hire illegals accountable. They will loose their Business License if caught hiring Illegal Immigrants. I like this law. It went into effect January first.  It appears to be working. Illegals are leaving Arizona. They are going to other states or back to their home countries. I hope that other states including California follows with similar laws. Tennessee and Oklahoma has also recently passed laws aimed at curbing Illegal Immigration. Oklahoma has passed some of the strictest laws on immigration. It will be interesting to see these new laws played out. It will also be interesting to see if some of these laws are overturned by some liberal judge. Another area to watch is if Arizona will suffer economically due to these new laws. People want something done with illegal immigration. I understand that mass deportation is not practical. We need to go after the employers that hire the illegals in doing this jobs will dry up and many illegals will return to their home countries. Would you like to see similar laws enacted here in California?

The computerized machine requires fingerprint identification and a prepaid card with a magnetic stripe. Once the card and fingerprint are verified, a bright green envelope with the pot drops down a slot.

I think that there should be a potato chip machine next to the pot machine because of the munchies.

California A Top Destination For Human Traffickers

SACRAMENTO (AP) ―

California is a top destination for human traffickers who coerce people into the sex trade or hard labor through force or fraud, according to an 18-month government study released Tuesday.

The report by a 19-member task force of the California Alliance to Combat Trafficking and Slavery says California is particularly vulnerable to human trafficking because of its international border, ports and airports; its booming immigrant population; and a large economy that includes industries that attract forced labor.

The problem goes far beyond the sex trade, with migrant farm and construction workers, household employees, and workers in motels, restaurants and clothing factories frequently vulnerable to abuse, task force members said.

The report, required by a 2005 state law, cites research by the University of California, Berkeley Human Rights Center. Over a five-year period, from 1998-2003, university researchers found 57 forced labor operations in nearly a dozen California cities involving more than 500 people from 18 countries. Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose were centers for the problem.

Researchers say 80 percent of the victims are female, and half are children. The federal government says human trafficking is second only to the drug trade as an international criminal industry.

"We don't have chains, but the traffickers use coercion and fear" to keep people from fleeing, said a 35-year-old woman who said she was lured from Puebla, Mexico, to a Los Angeles sweat shop in 2002.

The woman goes by the name Esperanza, a pseudonym that means "Hope" in Spanish, because she said the sweat shop owner continues to stalk her.

She said she spent 40 days working and sleeping in the clothing factory before escaping by telling her overseer she wanted to attend Catholic Mass.

She said the sweat shop owner threatened to harm her mother and the three children she left behind in Mexico, and warned that she would be jailed as an illegal immigrant if she went to authorities.

"She told me I had no identity: 'If I kill you, no one will answer for you,"' Esperanza said at a news conference at the state Capitol.

Esperanza now helps train law enforcement officers to spot human trafficking victims, who are often frightened, penniless, unskilled, don't speak English and lack even basic knowledge of how to dial a telephone or board a bus to seek help.

It's the sort of training task force members said should be provided for firefighters, building inspectors, ambulance workers and others who might be in a position to spot the signs of human trafficking.

The state should also increase penalties for traffickers and provide housing and protection for victims, the report says.

Task force members are backing pending legislation that would allow a maximum prison term of six years, up from five now, for engaging in human trafficking and make it easier to prosecute child labor cases and trafficking rings that cross county lines.

Until recently, traffickers could be prosecuted only for related crimes like kidnapping, pandering or pimping, said San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris, a task force member. Trafficking was made a specific stand-alone federal crime only in 2000, and was criminalized in California in 2005.

That is one reason researchers have mainly anecdotal evidence that the crime is widespread, said task force chairwoman Nancy Matson, who directs the state attorney general's Crime and Violence Prevention Center. Only about 600 cases are documented in California a year, Matson said.

The U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division estimates that, nationwide, between 14,500 and 17,500 people each year are brought into the United States by traffickers to work in the sex trade or other jobs. Harris said that doesn't include American citizens who are transported across state lines, from, say, Kansas to Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

"These predators are making money off of these victims by keeping them in unconscionable situations in terms of the workplace, in terms of safety, in terms of threats and fear and manipulation," Harris said.

Illegals kill 9,000 people annually

According to US Representative Steve King (R-IA), illegal aliens commit 12 murders every day in the U.S. and kill another 13 daily through drunk driving incidents.

That's more than 9,000 people killed every year by illegal aliens.

As World Net Daily's Joseph Farah points out, that means more people are murdered by illegal aliens in one year
than have been killed in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars since their inception.

Rep. King also notes that on average eight children are sexually abused by illegal aliens every day -- that's over 2,920 annually. And that's just a small portion of the illegal alien crime wave.

OK I'm going to try and quit swearing. I have cussed all my life. My older kids get on me all the time for saying the f word. They say it makes me sound white trash(which i am). I have to admit that i have listened to other people use the f word and it makes them sound like they have a low IQ. And being my IQ isn't all that high i have decided to stop using bad four letter words. Now this wont be easy and it will take a lot of work not to cuss. But i think it will be worth it and make me a better person. Do you cuss?, Have any of you ever quit swearing and was it easy?. What cuss word was the hardest to quit using?.  

 am a Union sheet metal worker. I am proud to be a member for over 10 yr. now.  How do you like unions ?. are you for them or against them. I like more then I dislike about them. I belong to sheet metal workers Local105.What I don't like about unions is the left wing propaganda that they mail out around election time. Even though I am a registered Democrat  I don't like being told who to vote for. I watch the news and read the paper and I vote for the one that I feel will best represent me. And I don't enjoy paying dues,but that is a necessary evil.............What I do like about my union is that I know what is what. For example I know that no matter what job I'm dispatched to my pay will be the same. I don't have to negotiate  how much i get paid or if i well receive any benefits. All that falls under the contract that the Employers and the union members have agreed upon. I also believe that if it was not for unions  people working non union jobs would not be earning a decent wage, and would not be provided the benefits that they have . Unions keep non-Union companies honest Non-union companies don't provide good pay and benefits out of the goodness of there heart. They do it to keep the unions at bay. They don't wont the Unions to try and organize their shops I believe and support my  union and all unions.I  also will  not cross a picket line.Tell me are you a union member,If so what local. I myself think G.W.Bush is a idiot. I think history will show Bush as being one of the all time worse Presidents. What do you think. Do you think he's doing a good job as president or is he running America into the ground. I would like to read what other people think of our president. 

GUADALAJARA, Mexico —  The U.S. deported a man to Mexico on Sunday who had taken a dead cousin's identity to pose as a citizen in order to become a Milwaukee police officer.

Oscar Ayala-Cornejo, 25, arrived late afternoon Sunday at Guadalajara's international airport, where he was greeted by nearly a dozen relatives. He was visibly tired after traveling for more than 10 hours from Milwaukee, but the reunion appeared to be joyous and hugs were exchanged.

Ayala-Cornejo said he was too tired to talk to reporters at the airport but indicated he would speak publicly in the coming days.

Police arrested Ayala-Cornejo on May 31 after an anonymous tip and charged him with falsely representing himself as an American citizen.

He accepted a plea deal, agreeing to be deported, and resigned from the Milwaukee police force. A judge sentenced Ayala-Cornejo last month to a year of probation.

Can someone please explain to me why it is ok to execute a murderer on death row but it's not ok to kill a unborn baby.  Shouldn't pro life mean pro life ?..I support the women decision. I do not believe that a man should tell a female what she can do and what she can't do with her body. And I do not believe in the death penalty. We as a society say that killing is wrong , And then what do we do. We kill. How many pro life people believe in the death penalty. Whats the difference in killing a unborn baby or a person convicted of murder.
