Hello everyone, It was nice hearing your recent thoughts about the 2008 election. Today, I am formally introducing myself, Monica Evans, as a local Nader coordinator. First, I would like to address those Democrats who believe that I am taking votes away from Obama. My vote is my vote. I don't give my vote to any politician. He or she has to earn it. Yes, Obama is better than McCain, and yes it would be amazing to have an African American president, but Obama won't demand universal healthcare or cut out corporations from profiting from war. On a personally level, I do not like it when people lie to me, and the Democratic Party has done that. Speakers at the Democratic Convention have declared that we can't withstand another eight years from a Republican president. They are really just as responsible. They voted for the Iraq war and sent soldiers to Iraq without the proper equipment. They continue to allow private companies to profit from the war. Despite the Bush Administration's involvement in blowing a CIA agent's cover, the Democrats, except for Kucinich, have not demanded impeachment proceedings. Even if the Democrats didn't have enough votes for impeachment, it would have shown the American people that there is a system to investigate violations of the law. Hillary Clinton also stated that Obama would address the health care crisis. Does she expect me to believe that? She said the same thing when her husband was running, and her and Obama both receive large campaign contributions from health insurers and pharmaceutical companies. Don't let the Democratic Party scare you with their nightmares of McCain. Families who have lost their loved ones in Iraq, or who have lost family members because they didn't have healthcare have the real nightmares. The Democratic Party's nightmare is a loss of power. People are whacked, especially gun loving white supremacists. Denver police pulled over a truck that had two riffles, ammunition, wallkie talkies, bullet proof vest, and drugs inside it. After questioning the truck's driver the police went to arrest his friend, who jumped out of a six floor hotel window trying to escape.
I'm voting for Nader because he supports universal healthcare, solar power, and wants to change US policy in the Middle East. This is my Nader video advertisement. It took me a long time to make because I used windows media player instead of Apple's iMovie. Hopefully, I'll have an Apple by the end of the year. www.votenader.org

Ralph Nader is going to be on the California ballot for president. I fully support Ralph Nader and his running-mate Matthew Gonzalez. They both support universal health care, ending corporate welfare, and alternative energy. Visit www.votenader.org for more information. I've met a couple of people who have been successful selling products from their home, such as MaryKay, Arbonne, Avon, Pampered Chef. A salesperson in the past that I encountered was aggressive and constantly trying to move to the next level in sales. This encounter has led me to write a fictional piece about home based salespeople. I was wondering if anybody could share their experiences selling or being targetted by salespeople. I'm interested in what motivates these people, their tactics, the kind of jobs they had before sales, if their home life suffers, and any ethical qualms. Thanks. |
