Site outage tonight from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Attention night owls:  due to a software upgrade, the Bakomatic-powered parts of Bakersfield.com--namely, the interactive parts you contribute to every night--will be inaccessible tonight from 11 p.m. to at least 1 a.m.

[So fair warning, Nancy--don't start writing something at 10:58 and then hit "post" at 11:01 and tell me I didn't warn you first when it disappears!  Heh.]

Hey Jason,

Thanks for the heads up! Things look to be working well now.

From our development team:

"We're seeing a couple problems with the upgrade. If you click on a post or a blog or a user profile and  you get a 404 (page not found) error, try refreshing and it should come back. Our developers are looking into the problem right now. We've also had some reports of posting being slow. "

Will keep you posted--please let us know of any other buggy stuff via comments on this post or emailing me directly.
