I was reading the book of Matthew last night and got about half-way through Jesus' Sermon on the Mount when I realized that Jesus had very strong feelings against adultery. He even says that if a man marries a divorced woman, he is committing adultery.

LOTS of people today do this — breaking one of the 10 Commandments. And I'll bet many of them are the same people who rail against homosexuality. In Leviticus, it says that a man shall not lie with another man as with a woman, else it be an abomination.

So what's worse, committing an abomination or breaking one of the commandments? Just a question I've been pondering since last night.

Yes, there was art to enjoy last night at the opening of the new exhibits at the Bakersfield Museum of Art. But there were also meatballs. And bacon-wrapped dates. And fashionable people!

Some of the staff of The Bakersfield Californian — including the Lifestyles team which helped organize the Dada exhibit — put on the glam for the event. Shellie was hands down the hottest of the evening! She was so hot she had to fan herself all night!

So who's more fashionable, the TBC crew or the Dadas??? Enjoy the photos!

Anyone know where I can get a carrot smoothing in town? I used to have them all the time at this great smoothie shop in Sacramento called the Green Planet. But I've never seen them anywhere else.

Thought I'd ask -- I'm in the mood for one.

If you like airplanes, you'll love the articles and photos being submitted by saguarowestphotography, aka Brian Emch.

According to his profile, he is a freelance photographer based in Lancaster who photographs all sorts of subjects, but loves to shoot military aircraft.

He has submitted some amazing pictures, most recently of the March Field Airfest held over the weekend. He also posted a great article and photos about the last flight of the F-117 Nighthawks before they retired a couple of weeks ago.

Check out his profile and add him as a friend if you haven't done so yet!
