How many people here volunteer in your community
I saw the article that states local volunteerism is up despite the recession & I was wondering how many people here volunteer & for what.

I saw this & thought that the idea of people volunteering even when money is tight is pretty cool. I volunteer with the boy scouts & with Kern Shooting Sports when it starts up again in the fall. The boy scouts have programs for boys from 1st grade up to the age of 20 & girls from age 14 to 20 in the venture crews. Usually it's said you volunteer an hour per week but it usually takes a little more than that lol. Kern Shooting Sports has a program for kids ages 10 to 18 that teaches firearms safety & training for the smallbore marksmanship program. volunteer time is 15hours of training for the kids & then 4 hours a month at the range.
