I wanted to thank the KCPR personnel for removing the wooden signs someone had nailed to our trees in the park. We all in the community appreciate what you do. Hart Park is getting better all the time. To whomever is doing this, please do not put signs or paint on our trees at Hart Park. The picture here shows one example where this has been done. We will be taking down Signs on trees when we find them (an arrow in this case), and getting the graffiti removal company to come out to remove the paint. If you see anyone doing this, or perhaps leaving their trash in the park, please ask them kindly to stop. These type of actions are simply wrong. We need your help preserving and improving Hart Park.
Here is a link to a few pictures from our work day. An example of caring people just getting it done. Thank you!
First Work Day at the Park Recap Our first Work Day at the Park was completed Oct 17. It was a pleasant, beautiful day at the Park. We had well over 30 stewards and others attend. It was great to see everyone and so many new friends. We also had our first international visitor from Poland, his name is Peter, assist. We enjoyed each others company. We casually cleaned up the Ranger Station area. Thank you all! You are cordially invited to our BBQ. Please plan to attend if you can. If you know someone who think would like to attend either event, please let them know. Walk and Talk and First Annual Fall BBQ We will take a beautiful walk around the park then return to the Rangers Station for a BBQ. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs with the normal fixings, Plates and Napkins, and Bottled Water will be provided. We will do the cooking as well! We are requesting you bring a large side dish, and whatever else you like to drink. Its fall, so we walk we should be able to witness the wonderful display of colors many of our trees provide. I'll certainly have my camera. I would sure like to have a person join us who could help identify all the magnificent trees we see. Please feel free to bring whomever you like, just remember to lets us know as the number of attendees is important. Now you're probably thinking, what happens if the weather does not cooperate? We will adapt. That said, my weather angel said the weather should be fine but a little on the cool side. Please dress accordingly. For this event, An RSVP via this email address: stewrdsofhartpark@gmail.com) will is requested. Thank you! I also want to give a special THANK YOU to Gayle Turney for Donating her time and money to make this event possible. Well, that's about it for now. Have any ideas for preserving and/or improving Hart Park? If you have a chance, please visit our website at www.hartpark.wordpress.com and let us know your thoughts. Thank you, Kenny Beal
