The media has been covering recent changes (both good and bad) on eBay and the seller boycott last month.    I've been a seller on eBay for eleven years, and I haven't been thrilled with what eBay has done to change the way we sell, but I still feel that there aren't too many places a person can go to sell their items, reach the world, have low overhead working at home, have flexible hours (albeit long hours sometimes), and experience the thrill of a big sale.

For anyone who wants to learn how to sell on eBay, I am an Education Specialist Trained by eBay to teach a class called "The Basics of Selling on eBay."    I am offering it through North of the River Recreation and Park District (NOR) (www.norfun.org).    It's easy to register online or in person.   Call 392-2000 for more information.

The class was developed by eBay in lecture format and includes a comprehensive workbook written by eBay that covers everything you learn in class.    Upon completion of the class, you also receive two weeks free follow-up phone support from me.

eBay is not just for individuals with a few things to sell, either.    A large portion of the items sold on eBay are in the Business & Industrial categories.    If you have excess inventory, new-old stock, or a product you'd like to market worldwide, this class is for you, too.   Send your employees to learn to list on eBay.

The first class will be an evening class held on Monday, March 31st and Wednesday, April 2nd from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Greenacres Community Center (2014 Calloway Drive).     Residents of the NOR District pay $64 plus $15 workbook fee.   Non-residents pay an additional $10.

Can't make an evening class?    There will be a Saturday class held on April 26th at Rasmussen Center (115 E. Roberts Lane) from 9:00 to 4:00.

This class pays for itself!    Once you sell a few items on eBay and start counting your cash, you'll be hooked!

Call 392-2000 to sign up now!    Questions for instructor?   Call 599-0267 or email bkin@lightspeed.net
