This needs our "Attention".....
Why would we want to hurt our selfs, and fellow man? Just as so the elites can stay on top. I want to point out the there are some bills that needs our attention here people. 1. HR 875 bill would violate the tenth Amendment. Please urge your representative to oppose it, and soon. 2. Ron Paul received a total 245 cosponsors on bill HR 1207 to Audit The Fed. One has to wonder why this bill has been unable to move ahead in the house for floor debate and an eventual floor vote. Something stinks here......

It's fine. When it hits 290 it's veto proof. He's just locking in the votes. posted by

I am not sure why anyone would oppose this bill, HR 875. You might try looking at all the food recalls we have had in recent years. Also, you might want to check the growing bacteria, salmonella, found in everything from peanuts to chicken, also recalled at historic record high quantities. Or the pork laced with MRSA that was discovered last year on that staple of American diet. MRSA was not even on the planet thirty years ago. Nor was E Coli 0157:H7, which has become a very dangerous pathogen thanks to our factory farm practices. More than 70% of all antibiotic usage in America is done on the livestock Americans chow down on. It is no coincidence that antibiotics no longer fight these bacteria effectively when many humans get sick, because our system has been compromised by the food we have eaten. This bill , by the way, has nothing to do with states rights, particularly when food distribution (and hence contamination) is now a worldwide network. You ought to be championing more oversight on the agribusiness industry, which has created this bacterial menace through factory and inhumane practices on livestock. posted by

Weird, all these bacterias didn't exist before chemical induced animals, but the answer is to prevent people who grow clean food free of chemicals to continue to operate. Makes sense. The government already screwed it up this bad, and perpetuated the diseases, so let's let them make it worse while forcing decent, small business out of work For god's sake, all this legislation is written by the large corporations, who run the government. That's how you remove the competition.

This is one reason why I'm getting my hunter's licensing course done this month - so that I can provide fresh, healthy, hormone-free & untouched meat. Of course, I'll still have to buy food at the store - but at the very least I can ingest less crap than before. Also, when I purchase my new home, I intend to plant a garden.
It not only makes health sense, but it also makes economic sense. posted by

But isn't that our choice to pick what we eat Sorry to break it to you, but we don't have that choice now. I contracted a $2,000 case of food poisioning in January which I got from eating in one of our local restaurants. (chcken fajitas) The government can't get too involved in regulating our food industry as far as I'm concerned. posted by

I've suffered food poisoning multiple times, and only once was it my own fault.
Therefore, I agree with you, Audrey. posted by
