Good cause visits Sam Lynn
The Tour for the Cure made a stop at Sam Lynn Ball Park Tuesday night. Tim Riley and Chris Richards are touring all 189 major and minor league parks to raise money for the Jimmy Fund, a foundation that raises money for cancer research.
The duo, which occasionally sleeps in their Chrysler 300M — a rental — drove in from Las Vegas this morning, making Bakersfield their 68th stop. On Wednesday Riley and Richards will visit Inland Empire and Lake Elsinore. So far this year, they have raised $7,500.
