Sunlight through trees

Trudi Williams just upgraded her cell phone and texted in these beautiful photos of the suns rays. Thanks Trudi!

To share your cell phone pics, text them to mobile@bakersfield.com. We'll post them to this blog, at Bakersfield.com/yourwords, and consider them for print in The Californian!

Actually, it's easy to text to an email address!

While most phones are set up to default to "digit" mode while in the address field, most phones let you switch to letters and type in mobile@bakersfield.com into the address field, just like you would in the main part of the message.

We recommend saving mobile@bakersfield.com into your address book as a contact so you don't have to type it out on your keypad each time you have a new photo to share.

Anything you type into the main part of the message will also be sent.  If you include your name and a little bit about the photo, we'll include it when we post it.

I think you have to email them to mobile@bakersfield.com, not text them.

Sorry, just picking nits....
