Relay for Life photos
Thousands of people were out at Relay for Life at Cal State Bakersfield this weekend, raising money and awareness for cancer research. Participants snapped photos with their cell phones and some texted them to us for this online gallery. If you were out at Relay, text your cell phone pictures to mobile@bakersfield.com. I ATTEND THE RELAY EACH YEAR. I MADE THIS SHIRT IN HONOR OF A MAN WHO WAS MORE LIKE A FATHER FIGURE, JIM BRADY. HE DIED OF BRAIN CANCER IN 2003 AT THE AGE OF 50. I HOPE YOU CAN USE THESE PHOTOS AND POSSIBLY PUT THEM IN THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN. IM DETERMINED TO HELP FIND A CURE FOR CANCER, IT WILL HAPPEN IN MY LIFETIME!!
