Having already sent in my ballot marked for John Edwards, I have an interest in how the pullout of Edwards, who captured 30 per cent of the vote in the Iowa caucuses and 17 per cent in New Hampshire and South Carolina, will change the balance. I'm not upset with his getting out, even after promising he wouldn't, because I have no idea, as to why he decided it was best for him to exit pre 'Super Tuesday"  Obama is on a big roll, and I suspect that is the reason. But the...

"I think it's not Presidential," said former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, about Mr. Clinton's steady barrage against Barack Obama. "It's not in keeping with the image of a former President, and I'm frankly surprised that he is taking this approach." Mr. Daschle supports Mr. Obama, but how he could be surprised is another matter. "This is beneath the dignity of a former President. He is not helping anyone, and certainly not helping the Democratic...

In a country with as much wealth as America has, for us to have as many as 200,000 veterans who go to bed under bridges, go to sleep under bridges, or on grates, and who are homeless... This is immoral, and it’s wrong. And we, America, we have a responsibility to do something about it"  - John Edwards "Bill O'Reilly scoffs at John Edward's candidacy, mocking the fact that Edwards is "funnier than Rodney Dangerfield" because he speaks of "200,000...

Typically the Californian editorial staff will post their editorial columns as a blog, allowing comments from the bloggers here, but I cannot locate the blog post on the above titled opinion piece,  hmmm.  (For those who haven't read the story, click here. But you can read the letters to the editors, all of  which disagreed with the the editors about the fairness of publishing  the cartoon. I had no problem with the cartoon, but found the letters very interesting,...

I know I will be switching back and forth between the Democratic presidential debates where contenders  meet for a televised two-hour skirmish which will air on MSNBC and msnbc.com, starting at 6 pm our time; and the race for the Michigan Republican delegates, where the polls close at the same time as the debate begins.  (I love TiVo)!

We moved here to Bakersfield 7 years ago, and have not had to be hospitalized, nor do we have any friends here who have been hospitalized, my situation is that the Doctor we turn to, has ordered me to go to the hospital for a few days, (low bp, high pulse rate, vertigo type symptoms) he wanted me to go this morning, but I said lets wait a bit and see if things don't improve, he replied that I have until 11am to decide which hospital I want to 'submit' myself to'. His options for me as far...

Or, how did the polls/media get New Hampshire Democrat Primary So Wrong. You think that moment in the diner of the final Sopranos show was talked about a lot , well, another 'diner moment'  was the subject of topic last night when  Mark Shields said on PBS Newshour  that " I talked to the dean of American pollsters today, Peter D. Hart, and Peter D. Hart compared what had happened in New Hampshire to the Truman-Dewey race in 1948, where Harry Truman won an upset...
