So, let all your your young friends in Idaho know about this opportunity, as craig says... "Interns have the chance to be an essential part of a working congressional office,” said Craig. “They participate in the legislative process as well as ensure that constituent services run smoothly. For those interested in politics, it is an incredible opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at how our government functions while serving the people of Idaho.”

Before plagiarizing a line from her husband,  Hillary Clinton was booed when she accused Barack Obama of plagiarism in a TV debate. It has come to be practically a sort of rule in literature, that a man, having once shown himself capable of original writing, is entitled thenceforth to steal from the writings of others at discretion.       - Ralph Waldo Emerson, Shakespeare

High quality video at www.AmigosdeObama.com Featuring: Mariachi Aguilas de Mexico   Saw this over at Salco.com and so I thought, I ought to fly this up the flag pole here, and see what ya think....? Salon tells us a little about the creation of this art: -- "Viva Obama" -- is indeed much better than "Rock Around Barack." According to Advertising Age's Laura Martinez, the video was made and funded by Miguel Orozco, the president of an interactive advertising...

A New Voice for Pakistan reports (great Obama cabinet candidates) "NEW DELHI: President Pervez Musharraf displayed “a kind of grace in accepting” the defeat of his allies in elections, US senator and poll monitor John Kerry told reporters on Wednesday. “We would like to say he kept his promise to hold elections. Imperfect as it was, it produced results... and he showed a kind of grace in accepting what people had said,” Kerry said in New Delhi, a day after...

I read  this storyonline at Washington Post.com, and couldn't pass up the chance to post on 2 of my favorite subjects; Web 2 tools and politics. "Obama's use of technology to connect with voters is "very unique," Garcia added. "We saw glimpses of it with [Democratic candidate] Howard Dean in 2004," he said. "But not to this level. What you get is a perfect matching of philosophy, messaging and technology..." "...Obama's campaign used an online...

The New York Times reports.... "Pakistanis dealt a crushing defeat to President Pervez Musharraf in parliamentary elections Monday, in what government and opposition politicians said was a firm rejection of his policies since 2001 and those of his close ally, the United States..." "...The early edge went to the opposition Pakistan Peoples Party, which seemed to benefit from a strong wave of sympathy in reaction to the assassination of its leader, Benazir Bhutto,...

"Inclement weather forced a halt in Democratic campaigning in Wisconsin on Sunday, but gave Barack Obama a chance to slip away nearly undetected to meet with former rival John Edwards."  (link) FOX NEWS As I've already shared here, I sent by vote-by=mail ballot (which I understand, still may not have been counted.), and I voted for John Edwards as my choice for the Democratic Presidential Candidate.  Some of you have shared Edwards was a favorite of yours as well,...

U.S. to Shoot Down Its Own Spy Satellite Navy Cruiser to Aim Missile at Satellite Before Re-Entry The Pentagon says it will ask the Navy to shoot down a broken spy satellite that was expected to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere in late February or early March. In a briefing at the Pentagon, Defense Department officials said they believe about 2,800 pounds of the two-and-a-half-ton satellite could survive and crash, in pieces, on Earth. The satellite, launched in December 2006,...

Bubba’s campaign chief David Wilhelm backs Barack bid Last night, I was surprised when David Wilhelm stopped by Larry Kin's cable interview show to announce he had changed his mind, and will support Barack Obama's bid for President.  In 1992, David Wilhelm ran Bill Clinton's campaign for president. It included a very popular cross-country bus tour by Clinton after winning the nomination. For one year after Clinton's 1992 victory over the elder President...

My favorite new web 2 application find, is an online image editing package program called Splashup  I tried it out, and I really like it a lot.  I can't find any documentation or tutorials on it, so if you happen on to any, please let me know. "http://www.cogniview.com/ writes that Splashup, formerly Fauxto, is a powerful editing tool and photo manager. With all the features professionals use and novices want, it’s easy to use, works in...

As a media arts major, I'm always playing with Web 2 applications when I read about them, today I read about an application that will convert large video files into flash.  I registered with Moonk, and uploaded a 7 mg video file, Moonk converted it into flash, stored it on their website, and provided me the HTML code to paste it into my blog or website. Because I'm setting up a Moodle (a Web 2 content management system) campus, *the same system used for online classes at BC, and Cerro...

Over at Scholars and Rogues, they have posted this letter from Dr, Denny:   Feb. 12, 2008 The Honorable Hillary Clinton United States Senate Washington, D.C. 20510 Dear Sen. Clinton, When I stepped into the voting booth in the New York state primary Feb. 5, I pulled the lever for Sen. Barack Obama, not you, my state’s junior senator. But I had misgivings. Not any more. Any doubts I had about the wisdom of my choice of Sen. Obama vanished when you chose not to show up on...

Yes We Can by will.i.am (Link) I was sitting in my recording studio watching the debates... Torn between the candidates I was never really big on politics... and actually I’m still not big on politics... but 4 years ago, me and the black eyed peas supported Kerry... And we supported Kerry with all our might... We performed and performed and performed for the DNC... doing all we could do to get the youth involved... The outcome of the last 2 elections has saddened me......

The Web & The Election - Intitial Conditions and the Web The author Rob Paterson demonstrates the Fibonacci Curve –and defines it as “ it is the ideal growth to full potential curve that Nature uses in all systems. There is a lesson here for all politicians and it is established by the dynamics of the Obama campaign.” If you are interested in Web 2 technology and politics, you may find this blog to be entertaining, informative, and fun.  I am...
