What do the liberals think about this?
I see that Hillary is open to accepting the Veep spot should it be offered. What do the liberals in general, and Obama or Hillary supporters, specifically, think about that? Do you think there would be a power struggle involved? Would one weaken the others position? Would it splinter the party even further? I'm serious..I am interested in what you guys think, and please..no conspiracy theories about how the Clintons would have Obama assassinated to acheive their goal of another dual presidency! 12 comments from 10 users

Mark, YOU have a better shot at being offered the VP spot by Obama than Hillary does. I called and offered my services, and their response was to blast one of those canister air horns into the receiver on the other end. Sigh. posted by

Well...I am kind of carrying this over from another post and thread, but I am FAR too intelligent to even consider the position! posted by

I think she'd be a bad choice for VP candidate for a number of reasons, primarily technical political ones. I think she'd do a fine job as VP, but she can do an even better one in the Senate. posted by

They will run the numbers and decide to do whatever it takes to win the White House. Personally I don't think Obama has any big love for her, but he may need her supporters in order to beat McCain.

Ya think Obama is weak enough to let Bill run things behind the scenes? That's a REALLY scary thought..a prez who can't handle it on his own. I just can't see her accepting. I could be wrong but........ we'll see. posted by

NoNancy, you are very wrong. She wants the job very bad. However, the two couples don't get along well. Although it would be nice to see history in the making of a black man as pres and a woman as v.p. it is not her time yet. He does not need her He is plenty strong enough to bomb on the ole' gray back man (McCain) without her.Mr. President Obama, Welcome to the White House!!!!!Brutha....LOLOLOLOL We shall overcome.......... posted by

Ohhh..you've spoken with her then. Couples not getting along is not a criteria for presidential running mates. JFK and Johnson despised each other. posted by

If Obama is all about change he should do something unorthodox like bringing someone outside of the Washington circle or...bring in a Republican (gasp!). He should also bring in someone with a background in diplomacy or foreign relations. The country could really use some good diplomats these days. posted by

I don't want her to be Obama's VP. I don't want his failure to carry out his failed administration laid at her feet too. I hope she runs in 2012 when everyone is sick of Obama's inability to get anything done.

I hope she winds up working hard for his re-election, Audrey. The country needs some success for a change.
