How about that Hillary!? Isn't it nice to know that she's human(even though when a conservative or Obama uses that  excuse she is on them like flies on doodoo!)? That she, like everyone else, makes mistakes? Isn't that special? Except she made the same mistake at another speech in Pa awhile back.

I don't know about anyone else, but I HAVE stepped out into a peaceful, friendly atmosphere and I have stepped out into a hostile one as well such as a fight or other dangerous situation. Now, had Hillary simply been confused about another time when she WAS under fire(other than the Rose Law Firm scandal), I could certainly understand the memory lapse, but the fact is that she has never come under gunfire anywhere. She has never had to duck and run to get to a car or building under fire. The Secret Service and the Foreign security forces would never allow that to happen. Had there been even a hint of such danger they simply wouldn't have allowed the plane to land.

I have been under the threat of, and engaged in, violence against my person on a number of occasions in my life and I recall them all clearly. There is no mistaking the difference between danger and safety.

The only mistake she truly made was lying to the people just to make it seem she was more experienced in foreign relations (I still don't see how being shot at in a foreign country makes you a foreign relations expert) than Obama. If that is the case, I suppose my having been in 16 fights and 3 bar room brawls, all but three in Bakersfield, makes me a local relations expert! Hell, maybe I should give Harvey a run for his money!

Listen..I won't sit here and say I have never lied, or at the very least, imbellished a story, but it was never a mistake, although it does seem to be human nature(go ahead..admit it), and I was never engaged in such behavior while trying to convince the nation that I was trustworthy, experienced and prepared to lead America into a brighter more successful future!

The best thing she could have done was to have been honest to begin with and stop beleiving her own legend, but her past, and now her present, seem to indicate that she may just be constitutionally incapable of doing so.

Hugo Chavez, the smarmy Venezuelan dictator made famous by my blogs, is staging a mock trial with the Inter American Press Association as the defendant. Their alleged crime? Inviting him to their bi-annual convention in Caracas, presumably to pin him down about his supression of the press. His charge? Media Terrorism! How dare they speak such lies..spread such slander. This is obviously a falsehhod. He says he is a friend of the press and welcomes pro, as well as con opinions of his politics.

He doesn't tell the media outlets in his country that they can't speak out against him, he just pulls their license or, as in the latest case, refuses to renew the license of those stations who speak out against him.

I have railed against this dangerous man since his election for his heavy handed, totalitarian rule over the people he so glowingly praised just before he began taking control of everything from the media to the oil and banking industies of Venezuela. So far he has been kind enough to make me look more psychic than Sylvia Brown where his actions are concerned and I am confident that he will continue to do so.

NAFTA SUCKS! It always has and it always will. Mexico and Canada are the only beneficiaries of this agreement. America only suffers from it and it is going to get worse unless we, the people, step up and do something about it. It is on the verge of creating dangerous situations on already dangerous highways in America. Dubya is a ding-dong for even considering the expansion of this agreement instead of repealing some major parts of it or scrapping it altogether and just dealing with the whining of our neighbors to the north and south. They'll get over it eventually!

I think it's great that Obama and Hillary and the rest of the libs that touted it as the greatest thing since sliced tortillas when it was passed during the "Billary" days as one of the crowning acheivements of that administration (even though GHW Bush's administration, for the most part, put it together...it was signed by all parties in January 1992, but didn't go into effect until 1994, thus allowing Billary to take credit) are now talking about it's glaring flaws(you know, the ones the conservatives were pointing out to GHW when we were trying to "read his lips"). I like it because it shows their lack of foresight and their propensity to flip-flop on even their own "decisions in America's best interests".

I am surprised that Obama hasn't brought up the fact that Billary stole the show from another Bush and that show has never had the ratings they figured it would(Monica was MUCH better copy!), but since there is anoher Bush to blame now, it is pretty certain that the facts will, once again, be muddled by the shameless rhetoric of these two brain trusts.

I see that the backlog of citizenship applications has reached an all time high of over double it's highest level in history. So much so that the secertary of immigration has resigned. Just the latest American to be forced to bail out of the ship that is sinking under the burden of illegal immigration.

It's pretty obvious to me that the sudden interest in American citizenship has much more to do with a renewed anti-illegal immigrant sentiment(and it's about time)than it has to do with these people actually giving a hoot-in-hell about truly wanting to become American citizens. They just don't want to be caught and deported then take a chance on being shot in the butt trying to smuggle themselves(and who knows what else)back across the border.

If the status quo of the last forty years was still there, the application numbers would reflect that. If illegal immigrants don't have to seek citizenship, the vast majority simply wouldn't. Say what you will, but history and numbers will prove that out.

I drive a lot. I have logged right at 250,000 miles in an eighteen wheeler, about 100,000 miles on street bikes, my old work truck had 247K plus miles on it in seven years, my new one(an 04)has nearly 125K on it, my personal pickup has abut 50K on it in two and a half years and who knows how many miles I have put on all the cars I have owned or operated at work since 1975.

In thirty eight years of driving I have been involved in two accidents. I was broadsided in an uncontrolled intesection in 1977 and rear ended in 2004(on Christmas Day, no less!), and I havent had a ticket of any kind since 1994.

I don't know that that, in and of itself, makes me a good driver. I freely admit that I am an aggressive driver, but that is the result of many years in heavy traffic in a great many types of vehicles and the confident decisiveness that has come from that experience. I am alert, aware, mostly courteous and never, ever nervous or afraid behind the wheel or in the saddle.

So, I may not know what makes a good driver, but I do know what makes a bad driver. With that in mind, here is a list of some of my pet peeves. See what you think and feel free to add to the list or argue a point with me....These are in no specific order.

1. Not using turn signals...Turn signals let other drivers know what you plan to do and the more information you can give drivers around you the better. We aren't psychic! It's the lever on the left of the wheel. The only kinds of people who don't use turn signals are Lazy, Thoughtless, or Stupid people and all of them make bad drivers.

2. Driving continuosly in the passing lane on a freeway..The left lane is NOT the fast lane. It is a PASSING lane. Every country in Europe and a few states in America have laws that prohibit you from driving more than a specified distance in that lane. If someone is coming up behind you, get over! I do and I don't care if I am going 90MPH. If I wish to risk my driving record by going faster than the posted speed limit, that is MY business, not yours! It's NOT your job to pace traffic. If my driving makes you nervous, all the more reason to move over and let me by. Those who linger in that lane are bad drivers.

3. Talking on the cell phone while backing up or driving in traffic. When someone calls me in these situations I tell them I will call back, or I simply don't answer and I NEVER place a call in such situations. I don't care if you DO have a bluetooth(I have one, but don't wear it stores and such)you still aren't giving your total attention to driving, which is far more important that letting your girlfriend know what you and your man did last night on your date or lying to your buddy about the same thing! They really need a twelve step program for these people. They are bad drivers.

4. Texting or using a laptop while driving...Need I say more? If you do this you aren't just a bad driver, you are a dangerous driver. We truly need laws to stop such dangerous and selfish drivers.

5. Reading or putting on make-up while driving...Come on people. You are DRIVING! If you can't get up early enough to do your make up and read the paper maybe you need to go to bed earlier. Again..We need laws! You are HORRIBLE drivers!

6. Stereos you can hear before you can see the car. There is no way you can be paying attention to the road when you cant hear the world around you for five minutes after you get out of your car. You will never hear an emergency vehicle or a horn reminding you that you are changing lanes into the car next to you. Turn it down a little when you are driving around town. You are impressing no one but yourself. You are a bad driver.

7. People who park in fire lanes at stores while their wife or kid runs in to get milk, bread, cheese, meat, a prescription and deposit the check in the bank inside the store. Yes..The Red Zone applies to you even if you are driving an Escalade. All you do is block up parking lot traffic and piss people off. You are an inconsiderate, arrogant ass AND a bad driver!

8. Although you don't see a lot of it anymore, there are still those who park in handicapped spots just so they don't have to walk so far just because they are lazy or, like the folks above..inconsiderate and arrogant.

9. Stopping on and going around gates at a railroad crossing...This is absolutely the apex of stupidity behind the wheel. The train wins..every time. The white lines in front of the tracks are to tell even the dumbest driver where to stop to avoid being struck by a train should the car become stranded there for any reason upon the approach of a train. Going around the gates without a rairload employee or an officer telling you to do so is nothing short of Russian Roulette. You should have your license revoked!

Well..I could go on, but I'd like to see what others have to say on the subject!

So Mexico has had it, huh? Isn't that special? Seems everytime Mexico gets tired of something we are doing where they are concerned, they simply pass a law that stops us from doing it. We should be doing the same thing. I realize that a few cities have taken action to do just that, but it needs to be done at the federal level if it is to have any real effect.

Mexico has said that they have had enough of our used cars down there, so starting this year only used cars of 1998 vintage, no older, no newer, will be allowed to be imported to their country. Fair enough.

I say that only Mexicans born in 1998, no older, no younger, should be allowed to come to America. What's good for the goose should be good for the gander!
