One week left!
We leave for Haiti on Friday night.  We're taking the red-eye to Miami and Saturday morning we'll fly into Haiti.   We're getting excited, although we're still going to be looking for more donations of supplies and equipment this.     We're still looking for the items I discussed in my original blog.   I also hope that everybody got to see the article Louis Medina wrote about us on Sunday:

Good luck, Matt!  I hope that, if you find an internet connection, you'll keep us up to date while you're there.

Reminds me of the scene in Ruthless People:

Earl Mott: Yeah! Then we're off to Haiti.
Carol: Not Haiti, Tahiti!

Best wishes on your trip.

I've never seen that movie.  I'll have to rent it.   I've actually heard that line many times in my life, however.   People say, "Oh, it must be so nice there," and I say, "No, Haiti, not Tahiti!"   :-)   Thanks for your comments.

I plan on trying to blog as often as I can while I'm in Haiti, although the internet connection isn't always that good.

Wouldn't you know it I just read your profile and thought to myself, Hey Self, you have a few of the items that Matt is looking for.  And here I was just going to give it to a local charity.  And then low and behold if I'm right on the time frame, you have already left for you goodwill mission.

But hey that's me never in the right place at the right time, or not the right time but in the right place...lol.

May God bless and keep you.  It's good to know that there are still people in this world that are willing to give beyond thier pocketbook and give of themselves.

Take care and stay safe,,
