So I ended up getting my Thursday paper on Friday. As a consequence I read in Fridays legal section how PG&E is asking the PUC to raise our rates because, among other things, the spot price of energy was higher than expected. But in Thursdays paper I see that PG&E is going to be issuing rebate check because energy actually cost them less. So what is the real deal? Sounds like in one forum they say energy cost were lower so they have a reason to give back some money in hopes of appeasing all these mad locals but then they are quietly making a request to raise our rates again. Despicable and sneaky. And another slab in the face is that we will not even be allowed to say anything at these hearings unless we are some  sort of party to, or something or other. Well I am a customer of PG&E that alone makes me a party of, at least in my mind.
