Looking forward to returning to the Bakersfield area. I have been gone for several years, and have recently decided that spending another winter in Pennsylvania, is not for us.  Living in this third ice age is no fun. I would rather deal with the occasional closure over the Grapevine, and the cooler temps of 30; than 1 degree temp with a wind chill factor of -12. I guess you could say the winter here has been rough. The trip to San Diego last April seem to be the clincher, (visited step daughter for her wedding. 

So if anyone can give up some advise for a returning resident, most likely by June.  I plan on living in the Northwest area, finding a job in medical office or  a rental leasing agent with tax credit experience.  Not to thrilled to read the blog about single women on the short end of the dating stick.  You should try living here.
