Can You Feel It?

Its happening again.  No, thats a lie.  It never stopped.  I tried to deny the feelings through the winter months, to pretend I didnt care, to make myself completely unavailable emotionally to that old song and dance.  I tried to become icy and pretend I wasnt aware of the strong attraction and draw.  But I cant hold back anymore.  I am simply not strong enough.  I am too weak.   I must give in and feed the desire that totally encompasses every ounce of my being.  There is only one thing to do.....

OK YA'LL----TIME TO GO FISHING!!!!!!!!

I tried last year to go fishing up the River  try some of my old holes   bought all the old time things I used to use to catch them suckers

Hit the road while the wife was at work and started up the Kern      Once I entered the Mouth it was like Heaven again    old memories flashing before me as I drove all the old spots and one by one    NO PARKING

What the    HELL is going on around here   I haven't been fishing here for 10 years and now I can't  fish !  I mean the same old parking spots but signs all over the place    NO PARKING

I ended up by Borel Power House    NO PARKING   CH"""""It  I drove around the other side where the old cafe used to be

NO PARKING    started back on the old road on the south side found a steep dirt road about 500' above the River   by now it's been 3 hours driving looking  and finally find a spot 500' above the river and steep  I'm not 40 any more and that trip almost cause me to get on a respirator and that was walking down hill

Half way down and I said forget it  never did get my rod wet

Are there any fish left to catch? I'm one of these people who take a good book. My line just doesn't get a nibble. My wife, on the other hand, can catch a fat trout out of a toilet bowl. With her, it's a fish fry; without her, it's baloney sandwiches. I don't get it. What is she doing right?
