While you can't do much about the print article, you could re-edit the blog and put the correct info there. Just add a little "Edit/Update" section at the bottom. Pretty standard thing for blog-based reporting even though it's nothing like traditional paper article corrections.

I corrected it in the blog. I just wanted to alert people in case they'd tried the wrong number that it was my fault and reiterate the correct info.

I also spoke with the gal who's number i inadvertantly printed. She was very gracious and concerned more for the puppies than the fact that her phone might be ringing off the hook.

She changed her voice mail to also give the correct number. Really nice gal!

 I'm really glad at least someone is taking in interest in helping these poor dogs out. I would like to thank you Smokey2009 and who ever else is helping, for actually caring for these poor pups and i myself care a lot about animals and i hope i can also help out and maybe give a little donation for these dogs medical care. Every now and then i give some money when i have it to the Bakersfield animal shelters because there are to many dogs especially on the east side of Bakersfield that are left for dead and almost no one seems to care about these dogs especially pit-bulls. I hope these low life thugs are brought to justice and wish the best of luck to those 2 poor dogs that were tortured that way. Also i hope who ever know something will come forward and help put these freaks in jail were they belong and for a long time.

Shwaine, Lois is in the "biz" and apparently knows about editing.  You're stating the obvious again and I'm not sure why you do that.  (pssst..we KNOW you're smart)  :-)

At the time I posted Nancy, there was no correction in the other blog and you'll notice by the time stamps that my comment came an hour after this correction notice blog was posted. So, at the time, since an hour had elapsed and the other blog still had the wrong number, it looked to me like all Lois was going to do was post a correction blog just like one would do for the print paper. I thought I would give the suggestion to edit the blog. So grow up Nancy and stop trying to attack me over every little display of "explanation" or intellectualism. It looks worse on you than it does on me.

It doesn't MATTER about the correction shwaine, Lois knows her job and doesn't need you to tell her how to edit.  You are constantly telling people how to handle every thing on the planet and are constantly stating the obvious.  It gets old.

As for growing up dear girl?  Mature intelligent people know how to converse with others, not "teach" all the time to show how smart they are..

I always find it funny that when ANYONE gets verbally smacked they come back with the "why don't you grow up" comeback.  Do you have ANY idea how childish that sounds?

I'll give you this, you are an equal opportunity lecturer and use it on everyone.  Oh, and nice job berating on the article about the pups.  Sour grapes?
