I heard there was a meeting today... KRAB radio talked about it... so why not pop in and see what all the city slogan talk was about...
I wasn't one of the speakers and there is really no point in indicating who said what, but the dialogue went something like this: "It's so beautiful." It is? "Ooh..." "Ahhh..." "We don't need the hole in the sign anymore. I'd like to see a mock-up without the hole in it." There's an art renaissance going on in Bakersfield that doesn't have to do with quality or quantity but a fusing of mediums: film, music, literature, theatre and art. I hadn't checked back in a while but it's looking like members are taking the time to flood the Internet with blogs on a wide range of topics. That's good interaction with readers... In my quest to keep up with the Joneses, Noveltown just launched Zowietown. We have three episodes done and hope to continue to flood local traffic with our tongue-in-cheek media shows...
